nope - not even a little bit... unless you count the rare dark cloud overhead yesterday.

Yep. I slept through it like a baby though, I was so tired. Huge tree branch fell onto a friend's roof though. Scared the crap out of them. Some friends didn't even know there was a tropical storm. It formed so fast.
Are friends ok? That's a heck of thing to wake up to in the middle of the night! And yeah, I assumed you were talking about the "mush" that was in the Gulf the last couple of days - I guess it got organized and got all official overnight, huh?
She's fine, was a little spooked by it of course. And yeah it turned into a tropical storm sometime yesterday.
Yeah, that's the creepiest thing - when these storms come through overnight and you can't see anything and all you can do is hear the stray branch falling. It's even worse when it's in the middle of the night and you're not expecting it. I'm glad your friend is ok.

Absolutely nothing. I have today off, and I'm going to enjoy it like I normally do.

So it looks like we can expect thunderstorms mid-day for a couple hours (we'll see if that actually happens), but other than Hurricane Larry flirting with Bermuda, I'm not seeing anything going on in the tropics. And the weather pages aren't screaming at me to "beware the hurricane!!"

We had a 50$ Alice in Wonderland book in our display case. A customer asked if she could take a look at it. Asked how much it was. She winced. But still looked through it and gushed about how cute it was. She hands the book back to me. Saying she had to think about it. As she slowly slips off to put everything from her basket back so that she could buy the Alice in Wonderland. And told me that if I see her again within the month or so, I am to tell her to go home lol.

Well it's an early 20th century edition of the book. I wanted it too, but decided that if I ever start collecting old valuable books. It'll be after I move out. Since I live with smokers and don't want something like that to be damaged.
