So keep your eyes on me now
You'll like whatever you see
We're so tough, not scared to show you up
Can you feel the rush now?

Ok so normally i would use photoshop but the monthly prices are starting to get to expensive. Does anyone know any other art programs good for digital art. I would love to try some if any one knows any.

They could try it but we\'re gonna wear the crown

.......................................Oh, you gotta keep your head low...

@Kittyzilla:

Clip Studio Paint! It's pay one and done! Sometimes they have sales on the program but its about $50 I use it all the time though I am 100% a novice at art.

...If you wanna keep your head

clip studio paint is a must.
it goes on sale a lot. so get it on sale if you can.

with CSP you can import your PS brushes
and it has a timelapse feature.

Krita is also a very good program and its free.

@Kittyzilla: There are plenty of free art programs like Krita, MediBang, Autodesk Sketchbook, Gimp, and MyPaint that work well if you're not sure what type you might like. And PaintTool Sai 2 is a good buy (One and done) and it has the photoshop save file type so you can export it if needed.

I use FireAlpaca and it’s free but not as complex as other programs so some things it doesn’t do. Still a really great free program imo though

+1 for clip studio paint.
when it goes on sale you can get it for one payment of ~$25

in the meantime, they have a 1 month free trial so you can see if the program is right for you. I made the switch from photoshop to csp and I found the interface very similar, so its an easy adjustment.

I also use firealpaca for small/quick things. sometimes you don't need all the bells and whistles, and simple is nice ;3c

@Amber Lynne: I'll have to check out most of them if not all of them and see what ones will work best for me and my style but again thanks this is amazing

@Kittyzilla: Plus, CSP allows importation of Photoshop Brushes too, iirc.
And there are LOADS of custom CSP brushes, so I can almost guarantee you can find whatever kind of brush you need, lol

I'm also on the Clip Studio Paint train. I just got it this year when I got a new computer and Sai didn't work for me any more. I wouldn't even go back now if I could. I'm still learning how to use it, but so far it's a pretty great program and wasn't that expensive. I wouldn't dare sign up for an art program with monthly fees unless it was mandatory for a job or something. Seems like a ripoff tbh.
