@skettiyeti: I felt conflicted like that because I’ve eaten stranger things like snakes, snails, and alligators, but can’t get myself to eat a horse. ;~; I’ve even eaten venison, which might be similar. Horses are just... so muscular and seem unappetizing.

@skettiyeti: When I think back to how the meat looked, it looked tougher than any meat I’ve seen, and I think that’s what contributed to me going LOL NO. Like if it looked moist and fatty, I would’ve considered it.

@skettiyeti: they probably became more valuable as pack animals, and in europe they were really useful for wars, so we probably got out of the habit of seeing them as food animals first, and into the habit of seeing them as valuable companions instead.
