@ladykazumi: Do you have a good mobile data plan? I sometimes switch to my phone’s data when my internet acts up, but I have an unlimited data plan.
@skettiyeti: I felt conflicted like that because I’ve eaten stranger things like snakes, snails, and alligators, but can’t get myself to eat a horse. ;~; I’ve even eaten venison, which might be similar. Horses are just... so muscular and seem unappetizing.

@tsunderra: that's a really good point. I couldn't put it into words, but I think you nailed it right there. Like for some reason I imagine them being super stringy.
The ironic thing about horses is we domesticated them because they're delicious, apparently

@koneko: Have you tried kimbap? They have vegan versions and taste better than vegan sushi. They also marinate carrots in a nice way

@skettiyeti: When I think back to how the meat looked, it looked tougher than any meat I’ve seen, and I think that’s what contributed to me going LOL NO. Like if it looked moist and fatty, I would’ve considered it.

@skettiyeti: they probably became more valuable as pack animals, and in europe they were really useful for wars, so we probably got out of the habit of seeing them as food animals first, and into the habit of seeing them as valuable companions instead.

Random, but one time I saw a really fat squirrel with GIANT nuts. And not the edible kind...

Yeah, squirrels are well endowed and it's just a little shocking when you see them
It honestly haunts me to this day like that squirrel had no business being like that like those things were ping pong sized
