Grant link is fixed now :D

@Totalanimefan: You don't mind the spoiler?

Aha I lost my url for the grant link already, so should I just replay the part to get it again after the link is fixed?

@Totalanimefan: I just solved the first part of event and the grant link is broken lol

@Totalanimefan: Nah I'm the only one who drinks it. Normally I'd give it to a friend or something, but external household meetings are rare these days.

@Totalanimefan: Yeah I'm in the same boat. Microwave leftovers for lunch and cook for extra for dinner lol Mm just Twinning's English Breakfast with brown sugar and half&half. I actually have a pack of Early Grey from Tazo or something, but that blend was really strange tasting to me, so I dunno what to do with the rest of them.

@Totalanimefan: Mood... also very tired and kinda hungry. I've only had tea so far today, so probably will eat early. Nothing exciting though, probably just noodles or something simple.

@Totalanimefan: I mostly exist as a senior member, so I can answer most in-game questions about end-game gearing for entry-level raiding and a lot of miscellaneous historical details of the game, but I don't really take leadership roles within my particular guild. Our leadership tends to be very non-existent and hands-off; hierarchically very flat-structured. Then again, my guild is a very casual, social-based guild with very few hardcore endgame players and we don't really organize or run raids that require strong leadership. Honestly, it's not even that active anymore, but it's the only guild that felt like a home, so even I'm out and about flirting with other raid guilds, I always come home LOL. The server is small anyway, so most casual raiders (like me) are part of informal Discord groupings rather than a dedicated raiding group. The hardcore raiders all have dedicated guilds and set groups though, and I'm not really part of those. I occasionally fill for them as needed and if availability works out.

@kai: Hello and welcome to Voltra!

@xvz: oh yeah I've tried the greyscale approach once. It was definitely interesting and I think it's a really good approach for more realistic paintings simply because realism tends to have a lot of grey tones even in the colors (lower saturation). But I also really like drawing fantastical stuff, which means using garishly bright and saturated colors lol.

I'm thinking though. Most of my unfinished paintings are all digital paintings. I've finished every physical painting I've done because I always work on exactly one canvas at a time and I'm much better at breaking down the painting in parts (e.g. sky and clouds today, midground next week, etc) vs digitally I'm like YOLO LET'S DO IT ALL RIGHT NOW.

@xvz: yush I know what you mean! I get really satisfied once I get to the flat color stage after line art even though I know I still have to do the shading lol It's probably because that's at the point when "everything starts coming together". But when I do painty things, I just go at it until it looks approximately right and definitely have a lot more scrap pieces of half finished paintings

@xvz: I mean if it's a work in progress, then it doesn't really matter what it looks like from the perspective of a final result. As long as the stuff in the WIP is serving a purpose towards the final thing, then it's good. Whether the stuff in a WIP is useful or not depends on the person of course. Like WLOP tends to block out a lot of forms in greyscale which is a popular method of setting up well-defined compositions without the distraction of color.

@xvz: mmm I typically watch a lot of WLOP's speedpaints. And whatever timelapses are on instagram.

@Totalanimefan: Because everyone wants loot, so attempts will be made. But getting a team together to accomplish a goal isn't specific to games, so raids are just a microcosm of a lot of real world problems lol It's absolutely fascinating to watch. At the end of the day, you have to find enough people with the same mindset and goals as yours to really form a good team. It's not so different in any other teamwork things or work things etc. I guess people are little more self-centered because it is just a game, and that's fine, but at what point does that mean you stop treating other people as people and as npcs instead?

@xvz: it just happened to be the platform that did streaming first and somewhat well and accessible. Art streams are nice, though I am more of a speedpaint Youtube video fan myself XD

@xvz: I think Amazon acquired Twitch several years back. Maybe 2014? I don't really watch that much Twitch, so I don't know how different things have changed since the acquisition.
