I like enough spicy to feel warm and like...taste like something.
Sometimes when people cut back on spicy, I end up with no flavor at all lol

If we were talking about a fruit form chili, I bet it wouldn't taste like ground black pepper at all. It would probably be something that just burns your tongue off lol

I have never tried pepper jelly and I suspect I'd be too scared to eat it XD
I can't eat super spicy food (though my friends would disagree with me lol)

as far as I know, the one place I go to is a local family owned one.
The sandwiches like apple-jam + turkey, cream cheese + cucumber, smoked salmon + cream cheese, turkey + pesto, ham + cheese + fig jam, pear + cheese + arugula. they're all cut in triangles, with the longest side maybe 3 inches? and yeah... the crusts were cut off. but I somehow really like the sweet fruit + savory meat pairing and I don't quite know why because it's not a usual pairing I'd like to eat.

the pricing is definitely.... something to behold.
you can make a lot of the tea sandwiches at home though, if you're familiar with the seasonings and stuff.
scones are pretty straightforward to make yourself too.
the small bite sized desserts like macarons and and like...idk what they are, but high sugar bites, need more confectionary background that I have.
Like I go to tea places because cute aesthetic, but also the tea leaves are REALLY good there
I think I'd like to have a nice tea set one day, except I don't really drink my own tea out of a cup...I use a giant mug like a heathen.

like the old school ones with gold trim and sort of a flower/petal shape with even more flowers painted on it.

with the 3 tier pastry thingy I forget the name of a realllllllly elegant earl grey tea
like...this place I went to, ruined my ability to drink earl grey from anywhere else
