tbh the only thing that sucks more than getting older is watching your loved ones get older.
my dad is 52. I remember when he was in his 30s and so much younger than everyone else's parents, who were already in their 40s.
He doesn't lead the healthiest of lifestyles, and has been having some health problems lately and I...just wish I could turn the clock back. Not even for me; but for my dad. I can't imagine the thought of losing him. But I also can't imagine celebrating his 70th birthday. Or even 60th. It's F'd up to even think or type such things...and obviously I hope I'm wrong. I hope I'm very wrong; I hope my dad gets to grow old. I hope he gets to meet his grandkid. I hope he gets to experience some peace in his twilight years instead of constantly stressing over everyone and everything else... I hope my dad softens his heart to God.
The fact of the matter is... I thought I had so much more time with Sandy. But now I realise that the signs were there and I was choosing not to see them.
Please don't let this be like that.
I love you so much, dad... I'm sorry I don't call more. I'm sorry I was an asshole as a teenager. I'm sorry I ditched you...but I had to leave when I did, or I would never have left at all.

Something like two weeks ago my manager messaged me and asked if I would be willing to work a double shift on the Saturday after Thanksgiving since I'd be off Thursday and losing those hours / pay...and of course I want to be a people pleaser so I said yes (couldn't care less about the money though I should lmao).
I should not have said yes
Now I'm sitting here thinking of all the things I won't be able to do tomorrow morning and it's not even TOMORROW YET!

Hello there Volties! I hope today is treating you well.
(To all the U.S. folks: Hard to believe Thanksgiving is tomorrow!)
With development projects on the drafting table and site layout updates on the horizon, I would like to reach out to you all for input on how the site feels to use; convenience, ease of use, and accessibility, as well as a general sense of how 'fun' the site is to interact with, and how any of the above can be improved. We want the act of using Voltra to be just as enjoyable as utilizing its features and making friends with fellow members.
Without you all, Voltra would be a very lonely place! So we want to be sure that Voltra is a place you love to be, shaped by your own ideas and feedback.
(Though this is technically Feed-Forward!)
I've prepared a brief survey to collect responses in a private manner. All responses are optional, anonymous, and will be observed with objectivity. The data within will be taken into consideration while planning and developing future updates and features. Constructive criticism is encouraged: we want the Good and the Bad just as well as the Ugly, so don't hold anything back!
Please note that this survey is geared towards site structure, layout, and functionality. It does not pertain to Items, Events, Lore, etc.

It does appear to be a difference in resolution between old and new emojis. Reuploading them should solve the issue, but I'll also take a look at output generation in case that's where the hiccup is happening. We'll keep everyone posted!

Yeah customer service reps will bend over backwards to avoid paying out on warranties, or to keep you from removing services, or pretty much anything other than signing you up for as many things as possible for that sweet commish.
Most of what I see about Dell nowadays is negative; either customer service, or manufacturing practices / policies and the like. Which is a shame considering they used to be a great company, and can make some great machines.
It sucks you had to bang your head against a wall to get the issue resolved but at least it's almost over now! |D
