The butterflies are migrating right now, and oh how I wish I had a dash cam because part of my drive to work for a couple of days was like driving through a flurry of snow
except that snow was butterflies! It was really whimsical and beautiful.
We've had an unprecedented amount of rain over the past couple of months, partly due to monsoons and partly due to the tropical storms over in the east, so all the plants have been exploding out here. Granted, a lot of them are weeds, or otherwise not fond of personal contact, but it's still green and imho looks a lot better than rocks, and obviously grabbed the attention of the butterflies making their way south.
And watching a hundred butterflies dance around in the yard while taking the dogs out was the kind of spiritual refreshment I really needed. The sun was still rising, so everything had that dreamy golden glow; one of the dogs plopped down in the grass and went back to sleep. Absolute Hallmark moment.
It was the first time I'd seen anything like it despite living down here for many years now, so it must have been due to the monsoon season we had. Hopefully next year's is just as strong so the butterflies come back this way!
Amusingly enough, the kitchen manager I work with has a phobia of moths and butterflies, so he wasn't having as fun of a time lol

Aww poor baby :c glad she's doing better now! I adore her! :D And LOVE the name. Hindu gods really have such beautiful names, and it suits her!
I adore cats and would love to have one again, but we're in the desert and I'd be super paranoid about them getting outside. Thankfully the internet's sole purpose is pretty much for sharing cat pictures :D

@Koen: The issue should now be resolved. I looked right at it about 4 times before noticing it too...seems that the event scheduler was kicked off when I rebooted the server the other day, and didn't restart automatically.

@Koen: From what I can tell, the game reward should be resetting on its own on a nightly basis, and I can't pinpoint any errors or broken code at this time that would prevent that from occurring.
For the time being, I've reset your game reward, and will continue to look into the database to see where the problem may lie, posting updates here when I learn more. I'm sorry for the inconvenience and hope we can get this ironed out very quickly!

@Totalanimefan: I didn't want to say too much and end up spilling beans that weren't meant to be spilled, but the game is very close--some tweaks, some testing, some polish...hoping to get some good progress on it this weekend! Every time I get started I end up distracted in some way. |D
That is true. I need to stop being so hard on myself about housework; but a lot of it is just because I know I can do better. c:
Hey, each trip to refill your glass is a good bit of exercise too! Idk about you but sitting down for too long is too hard anymore. xD We can get you a nice big pitcher with a curly straw, fruit flag, and umbrella :3
@blue: Holy cow that's a lot! And those are all quality tasks, too! I can imagine it was horrifying, but the satisfaction has got to be proportionate. c:
