Ahh, scratch the link I'm afraid--I'm having issues getting one to work. Hopefully we can get Baz to set up a site clock in time for the next event. Otherwise, I can tell you that this event will close when this post is 3.5 hours old.

@Totalanimefan: Because people were told they had today to submit their prizes, and we're giving them the full time to do so? ^^; It would be super bad of us to tell people they had x days to design an item or make an art, and then cut the rug out from under them on that last day. That's why the dates were announced at the start of the event, so that people had time to plan. Likewise, we made sure to list the dates of the extra two days just for purchasing, so that you guys will have time to save up volts to pick them up. It's our goal to get them in the shops sometime between this evening and tomorrow afternoon. If there's a concern where we can't get someone's color choices, or a delay in getting the colors in the shops due to an unforeseen emergency, we can extend the purchase period an extra day, don't worry.

When you log out and log into a new account, p sure it switches you without a real delay.
I might be wrong but I tested it earlier and it seemed that way.

To answer your question, the shops will generally carry the same items, except for during events (such as the one running currently), the Ohm shop that typically has limited edition items like the crates that have set retirement dates, and just general new common additions to the shops. If you check the shops right now, each of the non-ohm shopkeepers currently has 2 items inspired by NPC that runs the shop, each with 3 recolor options. Those are event items that will be leaving the shops late in the evening on the 10th if you want to try and snag some now.

Do you think the cliquey aspect is inherent to the fact that there are prizes related? Like...if it were just an honorable mention category where the only result is that the item gets made and released on the site, would people still end up popularity contesting, or do you think people would be more likely to vote for the item they actually want?
