I see they upped the bonus for 200p, so that's nice

@Tsundererra: yeah, we need rapid posters in order to reach those page counts

I still hope we can get a lot further

@ladykazumi: I know, they're adorable, especially now that we know their memories

@ladykazumi: I really like the puzzles, it's an easy way to earn candy canes, and puzzles are fun

Sorry for disappearing, I'm getting my puzzle candy canes
Posted in Get In the Solstice Spirit: Community Goals Posted 4 years ago
@Tsundererra: oh no! I knew there was a catch somewhere

@ladykazumi: Good luck with her appointment. I hope you can sleep soon

@ladykazumi: because you knew we needed your help to get this thread to 200p?
Posted in Get In the Solstice Spirit: Community Goals Posted 4 years ago
@Tsundererra: I thought I was gonna get away with just lurking and playing puzzles during events, lol. I guess I'll be a bit more social now
Posted in Get In the Solstice Spirit: Community Goals Posted 4 years ago
@Tsundererra: I probably should make a thread in the art forum eventually

I haven't gotten Vyc's EI yet, either. I bet they're busy, and we've gotten lots of other cool stuff, so I don't mind waiting

@Totalanimefan: 'Night, have a good sleep

@Shadami: not really, since the texture comes from tiny rocks in a thin slurry of clay, rather than built up layers of clay, and ideally, the surface will chemically bond to the main body of the piece, rather than be a frosting on top

Add a groggy texture to the surface of some plant pots, but also I want to color the surface, and stain is expensive, so I only want to use the colored texture on the very surface, not all the way through the pot. Most people want very smooth surfaces when they add a slip, engobe, or do terra sigillata. I always want something nubbly and rough, instead. I think it's more fun and organic looking, which is right for what I want, but the roughness does complicate things a bit, which is why I'll definitely need to make some tests...and I need to buy more clay, since I'm out of the kind I want to use for this particular item

Thankfully, the show I'm making them for isn't until May, so I have time to experiment and build up my inventory, but I also have other new stuff I'm going to be trying out

Yeah, I was just thinking about the best way to get the effect I want, now I'll have to make some tests, but I recently got an itty bitty kiln so I don't have to fire my monster just to test new stuff, so it's good
