I found out that my brother last minute is arriving earlier than he originally told us....so I'm gonna have to finish his gift in secret tomorrow, but I did wrap his birthday gift so he can take that home with him. His birthday is the 12th day after Christmas, but I'd already bought the present a long time ago.

Congrats! I hope that at least some farmers will recognize this as an opportunity to prepare for food security in uncertain future climate scenarios, rather than just as an obstacle imposed by the government.

For my family, we celebrate/open gifts on Christmas Eve, so it's one day closer. Stockings are still on Christmas morning, though. I gotta start wrapping things tonight, and finish up the last gifts I still have to make.

@Totalanimefan: True, but where I live there are a lot of anime movies that get played, so I'm sure it will be a success in this area whether or not I end up going. It depends on the days its in the theater and what other plans I have. If any of my friends want to go, then I'll probably see it.

@Totalanimefan: I might, but I don't like to go to movie theaters that much. I like movies, but I like the ability to stop them and walk away to do other stuff if I want to, and then come back

I would ask for my school loans to be paid off, if Santa was real. The original St. Nicholas paid off girls' dowries so they could get married, so I figure it's along the lines of what he does.

Makoto Shinkai's movies are very pretty, and the new one looks interesting.

I would love to be able to see what people have equipped, because I'm also new and it takes a while to go through the item museum, plus sometimes I don't realize how cool something is until I see how someone has accessorized it on their avatar

My favorite holiday tradition is Santa Lucia's Day, on December 13th, because I liked dressing up and eating saffron buns as a kid. It also helps build up excitement for Christmas, because its about the halfway point to the holiday.
