@Kent: American cakes feel... heavier? Like the buttercream is too sweet, heavy and artificial tasting. But tbh, all dairy-made items in Japan tasted different (I called their cheese “diet cheese”).
If you want to know what they look like visually, here’s a link of where I got mine when I was living in Japan. It’s literally just a Christmas decorated cake.
