"....." Uriel was silent as he saw Aimee start to cry.

"Aimee?" he asked.

"What's wrong?" he asked her.

'...did he do more damage than I thought?' he then asked himself mentally.

If so, what was the damage? Physical? Mental? Emotional?

All he knew was the woman he loved was crying, and he didn't like it. It filled him with anger and sadness.

And he wondered if there was anything he could do here.

"..." Uriel was silent, before bringing her close to him, and holding her.

He didn't know what to say here.

Was there anything he COULD say here?

Perhaps silence was better.

So he just held her close, and sent a mental message to someone.

The only person he could think of right now that could fully heal Aimee.

Uriel was just silent, before he gently lifted his wife in his arms. Once he did, he carried her out of the alley and looked around, seeing nobody there.

Once he determined nobody was watching, or nobody would see, he scooped up the bag she had, as well as her phone, and they disappeared from where they were, appearing in the den of Aimee's home.

Where Lex was as well.

And when he saw them, his face paled.

"No..." he whispered.

"Not again..." he said, as Uriel laid Aimee down on one of the couches.

Lex was... angry.

But he didn't let it show.

All he knew was that his sister was hurt, and scared.

And he could guess as to what happened.

"I suppose that solidifies things." he said.

"Not necessarily." Uriel replied.

"I get the feeling this was the LAST time."

Uriel looked over to the newcomer, and nodded.

"Yes." he said.

"Come, Alex." he told Lex.

"But-" Lex started to argue, before he paused and sighed.

"Right." he said.

He then looked towards Aimee and gave her a hug.

"I'll just be in the next room." he told her. "I promise." he said.

"Don't worry, she's in good hands." Uriel commented with a small smie.

Lex just sighed.

"...I see." he said.

"That's... I just..." he muttered, but just sighed again.

"It's not your fault." Uriel said.

"Isn't it?" Lex asked in response.

"All this is because I'm trying to protect Lilim." he told him.

"This IS because of me."

"Good." Uriel responded.

"At least there's that." he said.

"Oh?" Lex asked.

Uriel then proceeded to explain what he'd said and done to Francis.

"So, it seems that his owner knows better than to mess with the archangels." he concluded.

".........huh." Lex muttered.

"That... DOES make me feel a lot better, yeah." he admitted.

"Thank you." Lex said to the woman.

"Indeed." Uriel agreed.

"I'm sorry to have bothered you." he then apologised to her.

"But you were the only one I could think of that could help." he told her.

"...well... help her without it being traumatic." he then clarified.

"If... that makes sense..."

"............" both Uriel and Lex were silent, before Uriel sighed.

"I'm heading upwards." he told Lex.

"Take care of her in the meantime." he finished, before disappearing in a pillar of light.

Lex just sighed when Uriel left, before going to his sister, gently hefting her onto his back, and carting her up the stairs, towards her room.

He made his way inside, before laying Aimee down on the bed and putting the covers over her and making sure she would be comfortable. Once he was sure she was, he left the room, shutting the door behind him.

"...damn it all." he cursed.

"At least that should be the end of it... I hope..." he mumbled, his sister's frightened expression haunting his mind at the moment.

Lex's heart sank when he heard that.

"W-wait..." he said.

"Lilim, wait, he told her, as he looked towards her.

[b]"Aimee'll be fine. That was guaranteed. And... and Francis shouldn't go after her-" he went on, before pausing.

"...but you're right. He could very well break the rules..." he admitted.

"But... but where will you go?" he asked.

"It won't be safe for you out there." he reasoned, almost not believing what he was hearing.

"If you leave, it's all but guaranteed you'll fall victim to him once more, and there wouldn't be anyone there to help..." he mumbled further.
