I don't like devices/apps that show if someone is online/active or if something was read. Feel like that causes more anxiety than necessary.
Only time I ever had an issue with that was waaaay back when Yahoo Messenger was still a thing. Had an ex who liked to hide his online status, and somehow I was supposed to be a mind reader and know when he was online. Good riddance.

And it was so bad. He was emotionally abusive, so I'm really glad he's a thing of the past.

i use fb messenger but it serves kind of a different purpose for me, like it's more similar to texting
it kind of sounds like discord is the most similar experience currently but i'm not on it :0
