Hal just growled once she said what she did, before sighing deeply.

"Ugh." he grunted.

"Fine." he said.

"I SUPPOSE this could be an honest accident." he finally admitted.

"I still don't like it." he then said.

"You have a black eye. And it's not good."

"Hmph." Hal muttered.

"This is still unacceptable." he said.

"You shouldn't have been hurt like this." he reasoned.

"...how are you?" he then asked her.

"Are you all right? Did you suffer any trauma or a concussion or anything?" he asked further.

"Do you need to be taken to the hospital?"

"..............." Hal was silent for a moment, before sighing.

"I trust him." he said.

"Very well." he then told her.

"I'll see you later tonight." he said further.

He then leaned in, gave her a hug and a kiss, and then stepped back.

"Bye, sweetie." he said, before disappearing from where he was.

"Well. That went better than expected." Cain commented as he reentered the room.

"Splendidly." Cain replied.

"It's running better than it ever has, and the problems are non-existent." he said.

"I tell you what, you're some of the best tech support EVER." he complimented her.

The following week, Hal and Hollie were out on a dinner date, having gained access to a restaurant that normally took years to book a table at.

However, even though Hal was 'there', Hollie could see he was a bit... distracted.

"Huh?' Hal muttered, snapping to attention.

"Oh, sorry." he apologised.

"I'm just... I'm thinking about Lunet." he told her.

"More specifically, the incident from last week." he went on. "And even MORE specifically... but also more broadly... her sight. Or lack thereof." he clarified further.

"I mean, she manages quite well, but... the incident has made me wonder if there's anything to be done about her lack of sight." he continued.

"My mana can't fix this, but I know that Desiree McCormick has been able to find an elegant workaround for her own issue." he added, sighing heavily.

"But eyesight is far more complex than hearing." he lamented.

Hal took a deep breath, held it for a moment, and then exhaled.

"You're right." he said.

"I need to focus on tonight." he agreed. "It's been so long since we've had time together, we should enjoy it." he reasoned with a smile.

"I don't know how you can help, but if you can, it'd be wonderful." he then said further.

"But yes... for now, let's enjoy the evening." he finished, smiling at her.

The one she'd requested stood there for a moment, almost surprised.

"Oh?" he asked.

"Of course, of course." he said, stepping out of the room and shutting the door.

"I can do just about anything." he chuckled.

"What can I do for ya?" he asked.

Leo paused for a moment, seemingly stunned.

".......ah...." he stammered.

"....hm." he mumbled, suddenly becoming QUITE contemplative.

"I... cannot say." he said. "One way or another." he continued.

"Don't get me wrong, I accept the challenge, but eyesight is a LOT more finicky than hearing." he went on, essentially echoing Hal's concern.

"I'll see what I can do." he told her.

"I'll have to work with Lunet personally, though." he then added. "See what her individual situation is and such." he reasoned.

"....hm." Leo muttered.

"That's... a good question." he said.

"What do YOU think would be best?" he asked her.

"You know Hal and Lunet better than me." he reasoned.

"I can work with any kind of circumstances, but... hm. I'm not sure if he'd be a hoverer or not." he mumbled.

"Also, Lunet and I aren't super close, so it may be best if you arrange our meeting." he added.

"Well, given my recent promotion in the Order, I can pretty much make my own time." Leo laughed.

"Let me know whenever Lunet has the time." he told her.

"As for hovering, I'm sure if he gets Cain to try and hover and spy, we can work something out." he then said. "Cain's a pretty chill guy." he reasoned.

"But yeah, gimme a call whenever." he reiterated.

"I'll show up."
