I'm sure you are doing this, but I have tips for sleeping in a place that's warmer (since I am from FL)
Fans help, but only if you are in the room. They work by blowing the heat off of you, cooling you down. They don't cool off a room.
When sleeping sleep with lightweight clothing. Think boxer shorts and a cotton T-shirt (or less if you like less)
Find your lightest weight sheets. I have some thin cotton ones that I only use during the summer.
Don't use a blanket over you, that's too hot. Use just the flat sheet that comes with your bedding set. A blanket, even a lightweight one is too hot.
Try to cool down yourself before bed by taking a cold/colder shower over your body. You don't have to use any products, but just having the cold water hit your body works wonders.
Sorry if you already knew all of these. It's just what I've had to do in the past when it's been really hot.

@Shark: What does a fan do to your sinuses and lungs? Does it make a difference if the fan isn't blowing right on you?
