"Right." he said.
"Back in a moment." he told her.
With that, he disappeared from the room, and returned a few minutes later with a crutch that was just the right size for her.
"This should suffice." he said.
"And walking will help your rehabilitation." he reasoned.
"Oh, is the laptop bag I got you working all right?" he then asked.

"Ask me again when we get back to your place." She added after a few seconds as she got to her feet as best as she could - with his help of course - and situated with the crutch, along with the bag across her torso.

Kalin put her stuff in the back seat, and Rene helped her into the front passenger side, before shutting the door and getting into the driver's seat.
"Want something to eat?" he asked as they buckled up and he started the vehicle.
"I can hit up a drive-thru or grab something from a take-out place on the way back." he said.

"Considering the fact that honestly? what I got to eat at the hospital was food for the birds. Like come on, gimme enough that my stomach doesn't feel like it's eating its own walls." She griped. She felt she didn't get fed enough at the hospital, and Rene was well aware of that little detail. She'd griped about it before, and he'd brought her a couple of things, but it wasn't hard to guess she was hungry.

"The nice thing about this city is that you can get anything, and it'll be pretty damn good." he chuckled, as he drove down the street they were on.

"Could go for some chick-fil-a." She answered. "I haven't managed any since moving here and heard it's pretty good." She added after a moment.
"so if that's doable, cool. If not, taco bell, pleasse."

The rest of the drive was in relative silence, with the odd small talk here and there, before they pulled up to the familiar townhouse.
"Gimme a sec." he told her, getting out of the vehicle, getting the crutch, and helping Kalin out of the car.

"I'd be at one hell of a disadvantage on campus." She commented.

Kalin looked around before half hobbling over to the staircase. She looked at the railed before testing her weight on it, against it, and whatnot in every way she could think of. Only to find it study and not giving way.
"Should be good." She said with a nod.

"Huh." Kalin muttered as she looked around. She made her way over to find out how the best was, and was surprised when she felt it sink in more than expected.
He'd goten her a water bred.
"huh. Didn't expect that." She muttered before lookin' at the lock.
"That... might bea good idea..." She said with a light sigh. It wasn't that she didn't trust him, it was more that a bit more security would be a good idea, she was sure - considering what she was used to, it made complete sense.

After a few minutes of her taking in the room, she heard Rene come up the stairs. And she smelled something as well. Something that smelled like... caffeine.
When he stepped into the doorway, she saw he was carrying a tray with some coffee on it, as well as sugar and flavoured creams.
"Figured I'd bring you some coffee." he told her.
"What do you think of the room?" he asked, before noticing she had been looking at the lock.
"And want me to install that for you?"

He then brought the coffee over to the endtable by her bed, and set it down. He looked at the lock, before opening it and examining it.
"Yep, gonna need a screwdriver." he mumbled, setting it back down.
He then disappeared from the room for a couple of minutes, returning with the tools he needed.
"Feel free to personalize your desktop computer while I install this." he told her, making his way to the door and taking some measurements.
