Just then, she felt the man grab her wrist again... but his grip wasn't nearly as tight as before.

"Nngh." he groaned.

"No..." he said.

"I... will..." he mumbled. "I.. I will... get rid... of..." he murmured further, though his concentration was clearly getting worse and worse.

"Uuuuugh..." he then groaned, before he collapsed... on top of her... right on her legs.

About 45 seconds later, Rene himself came into the room...

...and froze when they saw the scene before him.

"...what the hell?" he muttered, taking in everything.

"What the HELL!?" he repeated, but in more of an exclamation now.

"What happened here!?"

Rene made his way over towards them, and easily lifted the man off of her, throwing him effortless off to the side.

"Damn it all." he cursed, growling slightly. As he did so, Kalin saw him gnash his teeth a little... and swore, in the split-second his teeth were bared, she saw rows of razor-sharp teeth.

However, his mouth soon left her field of vision, as he made she sure was okay, setting up her IV properly and such.

"Are you all right?" he asked.

"Mind telling me what, exactly, happened?"

At the end, Rene looked at the man on the floor.

"...mmhmm." he mumbled.

"Guess it seems to me that HE should be the one to disappear." he growled.

"Also, this proves that people just won't leave you alone." he then sighed.

Kalin could see that Rene was wrestling with himself over something, before he hung his head.

"Camera will have caught everything." he mumbled to himself.

"Guess I should call the cops." he then said.

Rene paused for a moment when Kalin asked her question.

"Eh-heh." he chuckled.

"It is." he told her.

"But I came in to... well... uh... just wanted to see some people here." he said.

"...." he was then silent, and sighed.

"I wanted to speak to one of the nurses here." he admitted.

"Non-work related."

"It's not." Rene responded.

"....so help me, it's not." he reiterated.

"Seems you've gotten to know a lot of the staff here." he then commented. "You're a bit of a favourite patient here." he chuckled.

"Anyway, I'll get the cops here." he told her.

"And get this mess cleaned up." he added.

Rene looked at the stirring man, and narrowed his eyes.

"....indeed." he commented.

He then made his way towards him, squatted down, and in the blink of an eye, delivered a swift chop to the base of the man's neck, with more force and precision than expected of a medical professional. At least, one that looked as thin and tall as Rene.

He then picked the man up by the collar, and started to drag him out of the room.

"Someone will probably be in shortly to question you." he told her as he left.

After a little while, Rene poked his head in.

"Yo." he said.

"The guy's been officially taken in." he told her.

"Odds are his reputation is ruined, as far as the University goes." he said further.

"But we won't know for sure until later in the future, sadly." he then lamented with a sigh.

"Just thought you should know." he added.

Rene shook his head.

"Seems so." he said.

"I wish I could tell you otherwise, but it seems the resentment towards you runs deep and complicated in the right parts of the alumni and faculty." he commented.

"And there's not much we can do about it." he admitted.

"Odds are they'll keep it well-hidden and subtle now." he went on.

"Or be a LOT more stealthy and dangerous about it..."

"Oh?" Rene asked.

"I would imagine so." he said. "And I'd imagine it's nothing pleasant." he sighed.

"Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you in your thinking." he told her.

"I'll do all I can to help." he went on.
