i never really looked in detail what they put in them lol
but i do know traditionally made from scratch japanese curry has onion base

@Vixen: yeah the recipe I use that is from scratch uses onions too. But I just leave them out and double the garlic. Lol

i make it all the time and like... I like the taste of onion but I HATE the texture, so I just cut my onions really big and chunky so I can pick around them

i added like an extra cup and a half of water to make it less salty too... turned out decent flavorwise too

@Vixen: Last time I made Japanese curry I was out of practice and I accidentally made it too salty. I didn't know how to fix it. Water would have been a good idea. ^^;

@Vixen: Yeah I made my stock from bullion cubes so I think that's why it was too salty lol
Did you find a way to store it? I have glass Tupperware (not actually that brand) that I use.

because the onion adds flavour to the dish? it'd be missing a key flavour profile if I left it out

and kjdhkjd I've tried the cut it tiny method but it usually ends in like "oh god there's more surface area for the onion texture to cover I can't escape it-"

tho id id try a recipe once where it was like, fully blended in and that didn't bother me since there was no cronch at all... and it's the cronch that drives me feral kJDHD
