"...." Marcus was silent for a moment, staring at the gems.

"...I..." he stammered. "I can feel my inner wildness wanting to break free... but also... deep guilt that I harbour..." he mumbled.

"These are truly dangerous." he said, dropping the bag into a box nearby his chair.

"And perhaps you're being a bit hard on yourself." he then told her.

"Did you distribute these willingly?" he asked her.

"Or knowingly?"

"....hm. I see." Marcus muttered.

"Well, your statement is still true, but... I think you ARE being a LITTLE hard on yourself." he told her. "You're a good person, Abigail, and the Council and Triad know it." he went on.

"Your business is legit, and you've shown that you're not a hunter that sticks to old-world beliefs." he assured her, pausing for a moment, as he seemed to just realise something.

"Besides." he then said further with another sigh.

"Right now, dealing with the legal repercussions of your involvement is the least of your worries." he muttered, in a seemingly cryptic statement.

"Oh, no. No, no, no." Marcus replied.

"Not a gang member or anything like that." he told her. "...that would be a lot easier to deal with." he muttered.

He then sighed and shook his head. He looked at the ceiling for a moment, and then looked at her.

His expression was that of exasperation and almost concern.

"...Jasmine's home." he said.

"Oh. Right." Marcus responded.

"That's fair." he said.

"Guess there's no issue." he muttered.

"But you're in trouble if she hears about this."

Marcus was silent, before shrugging and sighing heavily.

"Well, you're turning yourself in and admitted involvement... I can't NOT." he said.

He was wondering if Jasmine really was home, though.

She said she was stopping by... was she already here, or close enough to be within hearing range?

Marcus just pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Ngh." he grunted.

"I hate this." he said.

"But it's clear that this needs to be done. It would be remiss of me not to." he growled.

"All right, let's.... let's go." he said.

Marcus just sighed.

"Hi Jasmine." he said.

"And what's up is that I'm arresting your sister." he told her.

"On her insistence, mind." he then added.

Marcus watched her go to the room and sighed.

"Hm." he mumbled.

"Guess she managed to sneak in here a bit ago." he commented.

"Well, that's Jasmine, I suppose." he then said.

"She's good at blending into a background when she wants to."

Marcus just shook his head.

"She said she's going to take care of this." he said.

"And odds are that does not include figuratively tearing you a new one. Not yet, anyway." he went on.

"So... best thing to do is take you somewhere for holding." he continued.

"Jasmine will more than likely visit you there later."

Jake looked at Jasmine, and then to the sachet she was holding... and immediately, he recoiled, his tongue instinctively darted out to smell them... to which he recoiled even MORE.

"Oh YEESH!" he exclaimed.

"I... I..." he stammered.

"R-right." he said. "I... hm." he mumbled, before buzzing someone.

"Boss, the hunter that gave me the info I relayed to you a while ago is back, and she says she has something that can help us get to the bottom of this." he said into the comm system.

"...send her up. Immediately." was the response given.

"Got it." Jake replied, before thinking for a moment, and then buzzing again.

"Agent King to the security checkpoint, ASAP." he said into the P.A. system now, before hanging up.

"Whatever's in there... it's potent." he told Jasmine.
