@xvz I like that we know a lot about the weather. It would be horrible to not know about a hurricane and then it happens. (same with blizzards)
Yeah I know that everyone here is a believer. I think that after 2020 there are going to be a lot more believers.
If you haven't seen the Florida Keys I recommend going there before it's gone. You would probably have to rent a car after getting to Miami via airplane. I don't know if you know how to drive.

As someone who loves the ocean, grew up on it and her first job was at a tropical fish store- I am really sad that the coral reefs are dying.

yeah i'm def glad we can see natural disasters coming at least ... like at least some ppl can get a chance to evacuate or prepare
i've never been to the florida keys but i'll add it to my list! i can drive ^^ don't have a car since nyc but i learned growing up and usually drive when i visit home

@Totalanimefan: We have a storm shelter, and I keep all my important stuff in a small bag + medicine within easy access just in case I expect the tornado to actually come through here. It's definitely.. hard, to sit in a concrete storm shelter, with like, 5 other people.

mm there have been tornado watches n stuff but i'm lucky i haven't actually had to live through a real tornado ... so far ...
but my hometown did get tornados earlier this year , it was pretty scary :-(

@Totalanimefan: I'm glad that the last time I had to go in the storm shelter was just with the people I live with. The last 3 times I didn't go 'cause neighbours also jammed themselves in there.

I lived through a couple of tornados - watched my childhoods friends roof get blown off, almost got hit by a stray piece of tin metal... it's pretty terrible, actually, to live in tornado alley. >_>
