@totalanimefan: what is you top 3 favorite foods?
Forums General Chit-Chat Holiday Traditions
@inatlaka: Gosh that's hard to say. I love Mac and Cheese, Brownies and probably Ramen. (like real Ramen, not the cheap student stuff.)
@totalanimefan: great choices!
If I had to pick I would say: french fries, chile rellenos, tacos for sure XD
@totalanimefan: YES TO REAL RAMEN. I do love ramen. There is no place that serves ramen here... there is only the cheap ramen cup D: T_T
@inatlaka: Tacos are <3
There is an amazing taco truck near me. $2 a street taco. Which for Mexico may sound like a lot but it's super super cheap for here.
@inatlaka: I'm sorry for your loss (of ramen)
@totalanimefan: yes tacos are lifeeeee. Yeah I really love hand made fresh tortillas. When I use to live in CAli there was a food truck near my home and on Saturdays they sold handmade tortilla tacos <3
yeah so sad In santa monica CA I always went there for my ramen XD

@inatlaka: Oh boy that sounds like a good taco. Of course where I live it's not hard to get a good taco or ramen. I'm pretty lucky lol
Are ya ready, guyz?!
@Totalanimefan: that would be correct
If we get it at a store or nursery we're generally getting it on the 23rd

I used to go to my grandmother's and stare at the present s all day while the adults took forever to cook. Then we would go to the nursing home and visit her in one of the lounge rooms. Now we just go to my mother in law's.
My parents don't celebrate Christmas.
Now my little family has an elf on the shelf that moves around all year round whenever the kids have been good. She only reports to santa when they're good. And the time between visits determines how good they've been all year.

@Professor Shadami: Elf on the Shelf is really cute I think ^^
@Kitalpha Hart: Why so late? Most people have their trees before then.

I never even heard of elf on the shelf until I got married had some kids and my grandmother-in-law sent the book and the doll to us.
@Kitalpha Hart: that’s a great one to bookmark
@Professor Shadami: I think it’s only like 10 years old?

On Thanksgiving morning, I usually make cinnamon rolls and chorizo scrambled eggs. We used to watch the parade in the meantime, but that part I don't do anymore. I also usually make banana pudding.
For Christmas, I can't seem to recall if we had a tradition for breakfast. We would usually decorate on the first of December together, whilst playing Christmas music. Putting together the tree with my brother was always my favorite part. I usually watch Invader Zim's Christmas episode at some point. Same with The Grinch (Jim Carrey version, obv) and Elf. When we open gifts, we all do it one at a time.
@Professor Shadami: I feel like if it was an old thing that we would've had it as kids ^^; I think it's super cute.
@Kitalpha Hart: You are smart. I should have some gifs I like bookmarked.
@skettiyeti: I need Thanksgiving at your house. Damn that sounds good.
We put up the tree while wrapping and playing the Muppets Christmas Carol.
