Every Christmas Eve we open Christmas themed pjs, make some hot cocoa, and my dad reads The Night Before Christmas. Then all the kids are put to bed and the adults set out the stockings from Santa. It’s a lot of fun.
My husband and I are converting to Judaism and hope to make some of our own holiday traditions. ❤️

My family does what we call Cookie candy day, where a bunch of us gather together and basically make a crap ton of cookies and candy, that all gets boxed up at the end for neighbors, friends and family.

This year is going to be a lot different with out my mom.
We would normally get a fresh tree from a nursery, decorate it in white lights and color coordinated balls, add ribbons and various ornaments- always topped our tree with an Angel.
Mom and I would bake dozens of cookies, special Christmas ones that were only made for that holiday.
When my uncle was well we would make homemade ginger bread houses.
Christmas Eve my mother would cook seafood dishes, and on Christmas Day we would have a big breakfast and open our gifts and just spend the day together.

@Lithium: Yeah. Lilypoo also lost her mom this year. Maybe connected with her. You can still do the things that you want to do like baking and the tree, but you can also say F it and get a fake tree haha. That's what I did and I never looked back.
