@shadami: This is your third baby? I wish you the best of the luck with that.

I have no kids myself, but I've heard that three can be a little rough to handle.

Oh is it not one of those world holidays? XD I care zero about it so I only know it because my husband was born on labor day. It's the first Monday in September. I... Think it's about jobs and unions or something? I have no idea. But our schools start the Wednesday after labor day. XD so my poor girls don't have mommy for the first day of school this year because I'll be in the hospital.

Your schools start after Labor Day? Lucky....when I was in school we always started like the Tuesday or Wednesday BEFORE Labor Day. And one year it was even earlier, like August 19th.

We don't get out until around June 23rd though xD so it still sucks in its own way

aaah that is what we in Denmark call ( diretctly translated ) The Workers Fightday... it is usually in start of May. ( this may it was may 1st )

Here our school have summer vacation from last thursday in july till around August 7th * only know that part for sure cause i remmber that I always was in school at my bday *

My youngest is 5 , my oldest is 7. They're 18 months apart. The little one will turn 6 in November.

Nope, she's going into first grade , our cut off is December something 5th I think? If you're five on or before then you can start kindergarten at 4.

Yup. Our summer vacations are 2 months and 2 ish weeks long.
7-2:30 for upper grades and 8-3 for younger grades.

@Teatales: But since you have year round schooling, you get more breaks than we do right? Because where I went to school we got like 4 days off for Thanksgiving, almost two weeks off for Christmas, and like 3 days for Easter.

@shadami: Oh, I see. For us the cutoff was August something or another. If you weren't 5 by then, you had wait another whole year out.

We went to kindergarten graduation and it was something else. There was MAYBE one girl shorter than my daughter xD

She is just this little tiny thing. Just hit the height my older daughter was two years ago xD

I think we had wed, Thurs, Fri off for Thanksgiving
The day or two days before Christmas off until the day or two after New year's.... And I think Thursday Friday Monday off for Easter? Not 100 pct sure on that one...

Currently recovering from large amounts of PTSD. I'll post when I can, please ping for replies. Things are very difficult for me right now.

Oh my goodness. Lol. xD

I was always one of the taller girls growing up in elementary school since I hit puberty early. But once I got to high school I was like the third shortest in my class. xD

Shadami, our schools run pretty much the same then. I'm in Red Neck Country....I mean, southern Pennsylvania so we had Mondays after Thanksgiving off for hunting. And everything else is like you mentioned. Then we had to wait for summer vacation for another decent break.
