@LordLucre: can’t you guys fight back againist it closing?
@Totalanimefan: We've tried. We've even tried opening new ones, but they just end up going nowhere.
@Totalanimefan: I would totally use my library more if it weren't so grievously out of date.

I'm maybe out in that general direction once a month, so I'll at least stop in if I can spare the time.
@LordLucre: That's really sad to me. A library is so much more than just books.
@Kozi: Hey a PoGo gym is pretty good. Hopefully you can get more stops there.
@onsenmark: Cool, cool. Can you rent books online from there?
@Totalanimefan: I know. I used to love going to the one in my school.
@bum: Oh my gosh that's bad.
Some libraries let you donate food to food banks at certain times of the year in exchange for your library fees removed.
@LordLucre: :( Where is the next closest one?
@Totalanimefan: Can't really think of any at the moment...
@LordLucre: You are breakin my heart over here lol
@Kira: I'm sure it will be good. It probably has more to offer than you would think. ^^
@bum: Owning books is good too. I just feel like I don't have the room ^^;
@Totalanimefan: Ah, I'm sorry!
@Totalanimefan: I really wish they weren't closing down.

I go to the library at least once a month. I travel a lot, so I go and check out audiobooks to take on the road.
In addition to books, newspapers, music, movies, internet access, and video games, our library offers literacy teaching. I've been there before and overheard adults being taught how to read. It's heartening and sad at the same time. They post flyers about events all the time. They do arts and crafts and yoga classes and all kinds of non-book related stuff. I don't know why, other than it's a community service. They did a class once on how to self-publish on Amazon, taught by a successful Amazon self-published author. I'm not publishing my work that way but it was still very interesting.

I'm at my library almost every week. It offers wifi, books, ebooks, games, music, even books on braille. They offer places for people to have bookdebates or have authors on visit, also free computers to borrow on location.
This is also were you go to get your drivers license ( in case you lost it, not as in you learn to drive ) , or passport
It also lies right next to the local ( and rather well-known in this country ) musical theatre
