I just don't know how to make friends online in general.

Personally I've been out of the forum game for over 3 yrs now but my favorite tactic of making friends online is roaming different threads and asking people questions :>A simple starting being "how was your day? Anything interesting happen?"
Questions can lead to some fun discussions! And if the question you asked leads to nothing ask something else, rinse and repeat lol
I don't think those who spend time on avatar sites judge others avis for what little or lot they have. And if they do, they're really not worth trying to friend :Y
That being said, I see in your bio you like movies, do you have a current favorite???

@Keo: they are very good movies and catch that kid has kristen stewart in it and it’s one of those cheesy kids movies where they rob a bank to pay for the main character’s dad who is in a hospital and needs treatment but it’s expensive, its weird but worth watching

Nowadays I have a hard time making online friends as I get too shy and hold back on interacting sometimes. But back in the day I had multiple online friends, and I made them just by talking with and getting to know them. I love giving compliments, so I'll usually start with that since it can help open up room for conversation. Example: "I like your avatar, it looks very futuristic. Do you like sci-fi?" and then boom, conversation starter. :3 But asking about their day, how they're doing, etc, also works, too!

I have no idea how making friends works!
I feel like I used to be good at it in the past, like I always had a few online friends I felt close with and chatted with daily.
They were as much chronically online as I was
But I have no idea how I did that either. It just kinda happened.
I think it does just come down to openly chatting with anyone and everyone, when it comes to these kinds of sites. has very little to do with what your avi looks like or your gender! In time, people will start to recognize you. Especially on a site like this one, it kinda already feels like you're friends once you begin to recognize each other XD Maybe thats just me
