As for things to do there are a ton of things to do.
For coffee Zeke’s is good.
For Breakfast I like FoxTrot’s breakfast tacos (and coffe) and Lincoln’s Waffle shop is good too.
Teaism is great for tea and lunch!
Mercy Me has an all day breakfast and lunch that’s good.
Crepeaway is good for a cheap dinner.
Plant Word is a new, free, museum that is close to you.
Also check out Carnegie Library. It’s close to Foxtrot
The trains in DC are called the Metro. You will need a metro pass but they are easy to get at the stations. I wouldn’t bother with a car as it’s hard to find parking and it’s often not free.
Neighborhoods I like to hang out in are DuPont Circle, Logan Circle, The Wharf and Navy Yard. Eastern Market is great on the weekends when they have the market open.
Let me know what you like to see on vacations or what you like to eat. I gave mostly cheap places for food.
@wrik: wow that sounds like a lot of work. How are your hand holding up? Where are you now?
@Count Trashula: yeah it’s super expensive but their meat tastes really good (if I even gave meat, I don’t have it that often, once in a blue moon) and they have done rare items you can’t find anywhere else. But the prices T-T
@Rei Ann: my house was freezing last winter because we didn’t have any insulation under the house and the breeze was getting under the house. Now it’s fixed and it should be warmer. If your place is two stories you could always hide upstairs lol
@Totalanimefan: I got some eggnog there once; it was pretty great. I never did get around to returning the bottle, though. Didn't wanna drive so far out of my way and risk spending all my money there again lol but I was glad to see they had the option.
