@Priestess of Pie: Yes, exactly! It's wonderful, beautiful, creative, romantic, thorough, etc., ... but gawd it can be sort of tedious! Still, that didn't stop my preteen-teen-young adult self from reading the entire series (including the Hobbit) several times in 5 or 6 years!!
The more I learn about history the more I realize how much we don't actually know. A lot of it was made up as a theory and told as fact.
