it really is!! it's warm and low effort and it goes down easy lol <3

yeah i think i should too but i can't get myself to toss them but i know i wouldn't wanna risk eating them either ... erggg
i remember where i got the bad soup can from too so i hope i remember not to get anymore soups from there!

I would normally suggest donating canned food, but if you’re worried it will make you sick, you should throw it away.
I know that feeling though, like you can’t waste food; you have to keep it forever. But you just have to remind yourself that spoiled food can’t be kept. It’s not good food you’re getting rid of, so it’s okay.

i know i know, that's definitely a good reminder and i'll have to remind myself that too when i do eventually clean it out

yeah i know having to waste food is like a great and reliable way to make me feel worse Lol
i definitely avoid it as much as possible if i can but sometimes it can't be avoided
but i'm trying to get better at not feeling so bad when food does go bad!

I think as long as you try your best then you aren’t allowed to beat yourself up. That’s what I’m trying to do anyway. Otherwise I get down on myself all the time about all kinds of things.

But no one is perfect, and we’re all just doing our best. ^^

ah that's true ^^ i haven't tried thinking of it like that but i think that's a helpful mentality!

i'm definitely way better now than i used to be as far as like going easy on myself etc.
the way i've been going about is like. i picture how i would treat a friend i love and care about. and then i have myself treat myself that way lol

ofc there's always more to unpack/work on for myself but that approach has definitely helped me a lot so far :0

yeah i noticed at one point some of the stuff i would say to myself (in my head) i would Never say to someone i cared about! so i was like hey wait a sec lol
and similarly for good stuff too ^^
like if something good happened to a friend i would be happy proud and excited for them!
so if good stuff happens to me i try to be happy proud and excited for myself lol

it definitely takes practice though, it didn't come naturally at first but after practicing it a lot it's becoming more and more of a habit :-)

I know what you mean about just forming positive habits.

I used to say things about how awesome and fabulous I am; but as a joke, like sarcastic. But over time I said it so much that at some point I started believing I actually was awesome?

I don't usually compliment myself, but if I'm facing a difficult situation, I tell myself that others have done it, so there's no reason that I can't too. That's how I was so calm during childbirth. xD

Yep, but I suspect the drugs helped heaps. xD I got an epidural when my pain level was an 8/10 and ended up needing a c-section since my son wasn't coming the other way. But the time he came, I was exhausted, plus the anesthesia made me sleepy.

sigh i'm planning on getting my wisdom teeth out this month, i'm gonna try to tell myself that!!
if others can do it so can i lol

i'm definitely feeling kind of anxious about it but hopefully once it's over it'll be over... !
(and ofc hoping the drugs help as well hahaha)

I think getting your wisdom teeth out sounds scary.
But you're right, lots of people get them removed and they're fine.
It's not a dangerous thing or anything, you really just have a sore mouth after.
But something about mouth work has always been scary to me.

I'm 32 and only my top wisdom teeth have come in so I guess I'm still waiting.
(although I'll probably just never get them out because I'm like that. >.< )

Ugh, getting my wisdom teeth removed gave me SUCH anxiety. x-x

I used to be so good with dental work since I used to have braces, but it had been years after I got them removed since I'd seen a dentist (loss of insurance). So seeing one again I guess built up my anxiety. So much so that I got panic attacks leading up to the appointment, and I couldn't do the laughing gas, so had to be referred to a surgeon who could knock me out for the procedure.

BUT DON'T LET MY STORY SCARE YOU!! I was just being a big baby about it, and I'm sure you'll do well!!

aww thanks for the words of support! i've been meaning to get them out for a few years now but have been putting it off out of anxiety lol
i have a consultation this week though and hopefully the whole thing will be over and done with soon enough!

i'll have to see what the cost difference is but i would way prefer going to sleep! i do not want to be conscious for any of it lol, i definitely don't want to hear it you know?
my coworker told me that when she got hers out she had two female dentists chatting about their fishing trip over the weekend as they're doing like, oral surgery hahaha and that it felt super surreal
