It was a timing thing, I'm afraid! There are, ah, reasons it was better to force the update yesterday when there were no, you know, special events or anything time based. It's a quirk of dealing with a beta site, unfortunately, haha.

I've always gotten the notices, but not usually with the red alert, just on the front page.
Maybe we can get a button to turn those off haha
