@Zuzu: Yeah it really wasn't advice at all.
But to him it is advice.
Also this so called "advice" is coming from someone who doesn't draw at all and can't even draw a straight line
as he keeps telling me.
Like i do have pieces I do not like, However, I always end up redrawing them and then liking the newer drawing of it.
@Ixora: So cute! It's hugging a teddy bear.
Yup! and from all the advice in art videos i watch artists always say breaks are important
and seeing your piece with fresh eyes will help.

but yeah I am done with this friendship. This so called friend is always kinda crushing dreams of mine.
saying i can't do this and i can't do that, etc.

Hehe yeah. Having an eye to see what looks off
is super good. like sometimes at first glance i can't tell
so when i take a break and come back i am like "this nose..is not right."

@Ixora: Yeah. Like i find old drawings i did and i look at my art and i am like
"YES. I see i've improved."
Sometimes I purpose not fix mistakes on my art because i want to draw it again when I improve again. XD

Yeah it's true. Though I will say before a few months ago i never actually colored before.
and then i tried and i was like "Hey it's not that bad. It's simple but it looks good and correct."
So I plan to keep striving to improve!

Aww thank you.
I hope so. I've been pushing myself a lot with blending and coloring and everything really.
And trying to accept sometimes i must accept some drawings will turn out bad too.

Disclaimer: Not really looking for advice or anything.
I just need to vent.
Okay so after breaking it off with my ex he wanted to stay friends.
Though I don't particularly feel we are friends. But anyways
he sent me a message we got to talking, I normally talk about art
so I said i wanted to draw art of my fave band as 2 of the members have birthdays in January.
So I said I was a bit nervous drawing them[mostly because i've never drawn males before]
and was kinda nervous it would turn out like shit.
He tends to give advice no matter what I say. Even if I really am not looking for advice
and just want to share what i am feeling.
His Unwanted advice was "then don't draw it like crap"
Like??? I don't think you get sometimes paintings do not turn out like you planned.
And he kinda made it sound like i never try with my art.
Like I've been pushing myself so hard the past 3 months.
you do not know anything of my art since he never even talks to me[and i never want to talk to him because of his attitude].

I wanted to use the elf ears so bad but they were so off in the tone.
and i never really have my base as a different color other than the skin tones.
So then i just never used them.
and the basic ears, the proportions just seem a bit..too big to me.

Probably having my own room, with a better desk, two desktop monitors and a comfortable chair
to work on my art.
And a window next to me on my left so i can watch the rain when it rains.
