I just got one recently, in fact. Only have MK8 Deluxe and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom battle for it, though.

I'd definitely recommend the latter to those who like turn-based strategy. It's great fun, and far better than it has any right to be. Although, from other opinions I've heard, it's very much a love-it-or-hate-it type of game. So, not for everyone, but I do highly recommend giving it a shot.

I'm looking forwards to whenever the Switch Pokémon game comes out... but, it's also probably going to be really hard to avoid spoilers for it. So, not looking forward to that particular minefield. :P

@concentricity: Yeesh, that's a lot. Best of luck with moving in particular... that can get really stressful, I remember.

@Yuracye: I understand, yeah. Being nervous is entirely natural. I'm sure it'll get better when the time comes, though. :)

@Shadami: That's fair. And, I don't begrudge people who want to get hyped and stuff before the game comes out. I just have a much better time with being able to discover things.

@Yuracye: Ooh, geez... Well, I'm sure you'll do just fine. :)

@Concentricity: No need to apologize. Life is important, and we understand it likes to take large chunks out of peoples' time. :P

@Yuracye: Fair enough. And, geez, 60 people. The only wedding I've been to was that of my mom and step-dad, and that was like... a dozen people, mostly family. So, 60 people is huge for me. (Although, yeah, I know some people have hundreds. Who even knows that many people? :P)

@Yuracye: Ooh, yeah... well, just remember, people wouldn't have come to the wedding if they didn't want to (if humans are good at anything, it's making excuses :P). So, just try and enjoy your day (I know, easier said than done...). Is it a larger one, or just something small?

Yeah, the box was unsalvageable for mine, too, with the duct tape. I didn't care at that point, because I was feeling too smug about having used scissors. He was not amused. In retrospect, that's probably what set off the hiding-in-the-box-layer...

@Shadami: For the most part, I'm okay with trailers for stuff that I'm not sure if I'm getting... but, Pokémon in particular tends to put out way too much info ahead of time. A lot of huge studios have that habit, unfortunately. I like the sense of discovery that going in knowing almost nothing gives.

Ugh. Youtube has begun trying to show me videos from the Direct. Hopefully I managed to tell them I didn't want it early enough, but... man, this is going to be a loooooooooong two months at this rate. XD

@yuracye: Oh, yeah, I totally understand not wanting to be the center of attention. I especially hate feeling like other people are being ignored just to focus on me. (Slytherclaw can probably attest to how much I apologize if I'm ever in the spotlight in RPing...)

Oh, geez. By that point, I'd have just left it, and gone "Nope, I'm done. I don't care enough to get into this right now. If you want me to open them, don't do this again." I was this close to just going "screw it" for that gift card in the cardboard.

@Yuracye: I'll keep at it even if everyone else is staring at me. Because if I give in, then they win. I will not succumb to societal pressure about some trivial matter. :P

Eesh... That really sucks. I don't know what kind of person - especially one who knows you - thinks that that's a good idea...

Oh, fun... I don't know why people do that. People tend to not be in as receptive of a mood if you deliberately antagonize them before giving them anything.
One year my brother wrapped over the entire wrapping paper in duct tape. That was the year I brought out the scissors.

@Slytherclaw: Yes. Clearly those are the only reasons. And nothing to do with you being my friend, or anything. XD

@yuracye: My family always gets exasperated at me when I open gifts, because I carefully open everything, by just prying open the tape and not ripping the paper. I'm just sick and tired of what my brother dies anytime he gives me a gift, though. Last time was the worst. He had this giant box, with a bunch of red herring stuff inside it, so I had to look inside everything... and it turns out the gift was a gift card, which he'd put in between the two pieces of cardboard forming the box itself. Ugh, that was not fun. No hints, no nothing, it took me a half hour, and I was done by the end of it. (Okay, tangential rant over.)

Hopefully it gets better!

@Zach: Oh, that one's easy. Been the same ever since Gen III. Deoxys. I was really into space as a kid, so the idea of an alien virus was awesome. Plus it just looks so cool.

@Lily: Oh? Which Metroid? I've only played Prime Hunters myself (and didn't even manage to beat it... >.>;)

@Yuracye: Birthdays are exciting. Though, for me, it's mainly because it's an excuse to get together with friends. I hate getting gifts...

Yeah, there was apparently some Nintendo Direct that had stuff regarding the new games. The part that's going to suck most is Youtube, if it recommends spoiler videos to me like it did before SuMo came out.
