@Concentricity: Neither, actually. So long as I'm pursuing an education (and help out around the house), my dad and step-mom are letting me live at their place. Which I'm thankful for, because even finding a place - let alone paying for one - is crazy in Victoria. Less than a 0.5% vacancy rate. Woo.

@Concentricity: I'm not sure. It seems like they mostly got in between the siding, so that's I think the only part that needs to really be patched up.

@Shadami: Oh, yeah, I know it's tough. Another option is the old tried and true Ralts (I've got a big soft spot for it, since it was the first 'mon I ever caught), go for the more emotional fluff. Battle power is just a side benefit. :P
You aren't going for any classes (barring Paleontology, and a bit of botany), that really benefit from specific Pokémon. Turtwig's nice, because it's pretty strong (being a starter), and when it's a Torterra you can both ride around on it and plant stuff in it.
Or, if you're focussing on more Paleontology, you could ask your GM about fossil 'mon.

@Shadami: I mean, to be fair, in PTU, basically any Pokémon can be made worthwhile. If it's a low level game, though, do not start with a Happiny. I learned that mistake the hard way. :P
I've personally found Chingling to be a very good Status support (so, less 'fighty'), especially with Telekinesis as an Egg move. Butterfree is also rather nice as a status 'Mon. It has Compoundeyes to raise accuracy, it's maneuverable, and gets a wide variety of statuses in the worm of the Powders/Spores.

@concentricity: I meant early on in the infestation, actually. Before too much damage could be had. XD

@Shadami: Uhhhhh... Happiny's obvious. But, in a less direct route... what kind of breeder are you wanting? And, are you wanting this Pokémon to be one of their breeding projects, a helper, a Protector?

@concentricity: As far as we can tell, they are. We're going to keep an eye and ear out, though. Hopefully we caught them early, too.

@AshTheAlien: Hello. Welcome to the madhouse. :P

@Slytherclaw: ...or just kill all the wasps? Like we did?
Posted in The Pokemon Center Posted 7 years ago
@Concentricity: I believe they were boring into the wood. We've had the nest ones before, but they've been pretty easy to be rid of.

@Slytherclaw: I mean, they weren't inside the house. Just the wall. (At least for the time...)
Posted in The Pokemon Center Posted 7 years ago
@Slytherclaw: No. No we do not. I happen to like having a place to live, thank you very much. :P

@Concentricity: Yep, just the wasps. This is the first time in more than five years that it's happened.
Yeesh. Ugh. That just makes me shudder thinking about it.

@concentricity: Ouch. Every three weeks sounds like it sucks. Thankfully, it should only be this once. Hopefully.

When I first heard them, I was really worried, since it sounded like static... and it was coming from where the TV cables run through a tube in the wall (which probably echoed their noises). So, it took a little while to figure out that there was not a risk of impending electrical fire.

It's fairly quiet, on my end, at least. I was just busy making sure that no pesticide was getting into my room or anything. Since we had wasps in the wall, and needed to have them sprayed... and there was a small chance that some might have gotten into the attic. Which is (technically) accessible from my room. Good news is, everything seems to be fine. I don't have pesticides in my breathing air. :P

The thing with exercising, is that it's literally tearing your muscles. But, you're doing it in a controlled way, so that they rebuild themselves even stronger. Doesn't make it any less painful, though.

My preferred form of 'exercise' is just going for walks. I enjoy being out, alone with my thoughts. If I had unlimited time, I'd just walk everywhere, honestly. It's so relaxing - except when you're trying to make your bus, because the schedule's annoying. XD
Posted in The Pokemon Center Posted 7 years ago
@Concentricity: I guess that a pretty good philosophy. I know I've already had a few pretty good things happen that have kept me sane, so, I just gotta keep the spirits up and all. :P
Posted in The Pokemon Center Posted 7 years ago
@concentricity: Ooh, yeah, I can see how eating fast food for lunch every day would add up quickly. Once you can cut that out of your diet, that should help immensely, I'd imagine. Hopefully it all goes well! Glad to hear that your life seems to be in a pretty good place, too. I'm a little envious. :P

@Concentricity: Ah, I see. I'm sorry to hear that. On the plus side, at least you have a job and a happy relationship?

@moossey: Hello, hello. Welcome to the madhouse. :P

@concentricity: Aw, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure you look just fine. D:
I'd take some of the weight if I could. My doctor keeps telling me that I need to put on some weight.
