@Lina:
I had a long period of my childhood where my parents kept giving me scrapbooking materials, but I never quite got the hang of it lol. But I do crochet! Technically, I should be crocheting right now, since I have a plushie I promised a friend but... I have to find something to sub in for polyfill pellets, so it can sit up on the shelf, and I'm too lazy to think of anything, so I'm just knitting now. XD

What kind of stuff do you crochet? :D

I return!

I finally started knitting again! (I'll post pictures later, when I'm not so lazy lol) It's nothing super fancy, just a shawl for a friend so she stops freezing whenever she's at our house lol. But it feels good to make stuff again. Does anyone else here knit or craft in other ways?

@Anarchist Beauty:
Sad thing is, I'm honestly considering going back. No where else seems interested in hiring me here. And I don't want to spend a whole year unemployed, I'd actually go mad.

I wish I could do work from home stuff, but everything I've found has either required prior experience or seemed... sketchy, at best. >>

@Boss Rimi:
It turns out the real problem is getting my boyfriend off the desktop. He's having an Oblivion urge and I just want to play The Secret World while they have their Samhain event on... T_T Also the keyboard turned out to be completely broken, but the flexible one has turned out alright ,aside from having a borked ctrl key.

@Anarchist Beauty:
Yeah... I'm not looking forward to December if I end up working at Walmart again. Even in my fairly small town it was a nightmare, I'd hate to see how Orlando Walmarts do their Black Friday*s. O_O
Fun Fact: Walmart does nothing for Black Friday, Instead they do that 'Gray Thursday' nonsense that keeps their overworked employees away from their families during the biggest American holiday of the year~!

I've had this weird urge to play pinball today... But all the tables I'd like to try are removed from the app store. ;^;

@Boss Rimi:
It's not the end of the world. I have not one but two spares. ...Though, the nice one is wireless and badly needs batteries, so we're settling for the weird flexible rubber one I have until we can buy some AAAs. It doesn't matter much since the boyfriend mostly uses controllers when gaming... but I'm a keyboard and mouse purist. My life is sad. ;A;

But I've got my laptop, at least!

@Anarchist Beauty:
I've done seasonal. It's not worth it. It's never worth it, unless you're absolutely desperate to make cash. And I'm in that awkward, yet fortunate position where I have my barest needs covered so doing seasonal work just seems like a waste of time.

I'm just tired of feeling like a leech...

@Boss Rimi:
Thanks. ^^
I've been trying to fix a keyboard today. I got ditzy and spilled a drink on it and now my boyfriend and I have been trying to fix it but it seems like no matter what we do to clean it, it just keeps sticking. It's frustrating...

I'm probably going to be lurking around the forums for a while as I watch videos and play games, though. I wish I could play The Secret World, but uh... that requires my desktop keyboard. ;^;
@Anarchist Beauty:
Thanks!

I'm not quite out of it yet. I need to find a job but... I haven't had a lot of luck. I just want a simple retail job but it's so hard to find one.
(Though that's not helped by my anxiety...)

I've returned~!
...I got stuck in a hermit hole after graduating and forgot about Voltra. ;^;

So how's everyone doing??
Posted in CLOSED Posted 5 years ago

I played the Mystery game for a few days, but it was way too greedy for me so I dropped it. The game by Niantic sounds pretty rad though, but I don't know if I have the room to try it out on my phone...

It's funny you guys mention multiplayer Sims, though. That used to be a thing! It was a whole MMO called The Sims Online, I think. It was... weird, lol. I think some people are trying to make a community-run one, though. I tried it once and couldn't quite keep my interest up.

@Shadami: This was a few years ago, granted. By the time I left Walmart, it was more like $10, but even that was two years ago...

Posted in CLOSED Posted 5 years ago

@Anarchist Beauty: Yup, and this was before Walmart upped their base wages and stuff, which probably screwed a lot more people out of it.

I need to get my energy back so I can finish cleaning up for a hangout tomorrow, as well as an RP post I owe. I hate being so tired...
Posted in CLOSED Posted 5 years ago

@Anarchist Beauty: Yeah, that's one of my plans. I don't know if it's different in Florida (or even if I qualify... ;; I know when a coworker at my old Walmart job looked into it, apparently he 'made too much' at like, 9 dollars an hour.)

But hey, it's not like I have any medications that would need to be kept up or something!! >> I do and I kinda need them to prevent panic attacks and shit so uh... crap.

@Anarchist Beauty: Ahh, my mistake sorry! Is this one better?

And I am in the USA, yes. So uh, getting new insurance for myself is gonna be a... hassle.
Posted in CLOSED Posted 5 years ago

@Anarchist Beauty: yeah...and I have about less than a month to do it, since I get kicked off of my parent's insurance then. Ugh, I hate their rule about dependants getting kicked off at 26...

EDIT: I did it!! And it's the store that's within walking distance so I can save on gasssss
