Mackenzie didn't say anything before stepping up and leaning close. Her face was about two inches ahead of his. That close, he could see that she had contacts in, and it looked like they were moving.

And then she spoke.

She said something that he couldn't understand, could barely even recognize that something was said.

All he was aware of, was what it was doing to him.

Mackenzie was silent for a moment before James could see a rather ominous, and subtle, grin cross her features.

"Ohhhh, well, so long as you're willing to enture, as you put it, anything." she then said.

"Dr. Edwards, if I might have a moment alone with him?" she asked the medic.

"I would prefer to not accidentally affect you too." She added. Angela just paused a moment, nodding.

"Oh, yeah. Of course. I'll step out. Just don't trash the place, please, of course." Mackenzie nodded, before the medic left the two alone. Once she was gone, she turned to face James.

"Now, are there any limits to your comment of anything?" She asked, her voice curious, but also a little sadistic.

"I know." was all Angela said before leading him to her office, where they sat, and waited.

About ten minutes later, Mackenziemade her way in.

"Hey, you asked for me?" She asked. Angela nodded before motioning to James.

"I did. " Angela answered after a second or two.

"This one here has been cursed with a mana bomb." She started.

"And you're wondering if I, being a soul not of this world, could help with that, right?" Mackenzie asked, her voice a bit deadpan.

"Yeah sure." She then said a few seconds later before turning to James.

"How scared of pain are you?"

"Because I might know how to help." Angela answered honestly.

"It won't be pleasant, I'm sure, considering who I just called for, but I think she can help."

"Who are you thinking?" the guard asked. Angela just looked over with a sigh.

"The only person in this building to whome mortal trifles like this are probably nothing to." Was her answer.

"Now come on, James. Before you're in even more trouble, or dead."

Angela was most certainly taken aback by that response. Of all the things she thought that he might say, that was most certainly NOT one of them.

"Excuse me?" the guard asked.

"You're kidding, right?" Followed.

"... I don't think he is." Angela commented.

"Those tears are real." She didn't say anything before as she just turned her attention to her phone.

I need our visitor, Mackenzie. She sent to Jake. My office, please.

"Sadly, I'm not sure of anyone that can help... aside from one. Come." She said to James as the mana that was blocking the doors faded

"Why?" Angela asked.

"What's the rush, and danger? Why diod you flee?" She asked.

"You were caught, just own up to it."

"What the hell are you going on about?" The short woman asked with a bit of a snarl. She was not impressed, at all.

"I'm wondering the same thing." Angela commented.

"Is there more to this than can be seen?"

Angela didn't hesitate before moving quickly, and getting there. She was almost running, but knew that was a bad idea in the medwing, so she made it a point not to. However, she did want to get there quickly. As she arrived, she noticed a short woman having seemingly been thrown aside and getting to her feet, the crystalline elements fo her seeming to flash.

"Oi! That ain't cool." The goblin half snapped.

"Look. Cooperate adn it'll be a lot lighter the trouble." She then said as she approached, ready to defend as need be. Angela, meanwhile, just made her way into the room and used some of her fae mana to block the doors.

At least James couldn't leave, if nothing else.

"I'll worry about it after." Angela told him simply.

"I can breathe, I'm ok." She continued. "For the moment, at least"

"Anyway, I'm off." With that, she headed off, dialing Hal's number in the process. Sadly, she reached his voicemail, which wasn't super surprising.

"If you get this in time, and happen to see James Vesper, don't let him out of your sight." She said simply. "And yes, I realise you're likely on the phone with security at the moment about the lockdown." She finished with before hanging up with a light sigh. This was something she was going to have to hope went well. There was no way to know whether or not James would get out without being caught, and she really did hope that didn't happen.

"Just needed to learn to breathe again." Angela answered honetly.

"Shoved my desk into my torso. May have damaged it, didn't check, but knocked the wind outta me." She added.

"Probably got a good bruise as I still hurt like a bitch, but I'll tend to that after."

Angela just sighed.

"I have no idea." She commented.

"I wish I knew, but I really don't." She added with a light shake of her head.

"Anyway, I'm going to go and help look for him, hopefully find him before he potentially hurts someone else."

"Yep." Angela answered.

"You ok?" She asked, concern in her voice.

"He's already in enough trouble, I'd rather not add more to it. I liked him." She added with a sigh.

"James Vesper." Angela told him honestly.

"He's .... well, he pretty much admitted to stealing medications." She added. "Just... catch him and lock him somewhere for now. I'm going to go talk to Hal."

"Let me know if you find him."

Angela was caught off guard when the desk was shoved into her abdomen, knocking the air out of her lungs. As she struggled to regain the ability to breathe, she just hit a button that told security to lock the doors and don't let anyone in or out. As there was a potential threat. All the department head offices had one, and she'd given security a heads up it might be needed, considering what she was going to be talking to someone about.

After a minute or two, she just sighed, still not breathing the best, as she got to her feet. She grabbed her phone, and headed out of her office, not sure where James had gone. She also called security, not sure who was there and working atm.

"Yo. Lock the doors if you haven't. Someone's on the run, and it'd be much better if he didn't get out of the building."
