Mackenzie was silent.

"well, in essence, that's one way to put it, yeah." She commented.

"I hate him, I hate what he is, I hate who he's connected it, everything. He does nothing but piss me off, and I'm reasonably certain that he feels the same about me. However, I respect him, and I respect what it is that he's here for."

"So yeah. Think what you want, but I'm also NOT the side you have issues with."

"Yes." Mackenzie answered.

"While not getting into the intricate details, I and my partner are here, have been for years, generations." She told him honestly.

"His death ahead of when he's supposed to means that his side can invade here if I don't manage to revive him before that time limitis done."

Mackenzie was silent before sighing.

"Yes. Save you." She answered.

"I rather like this planet not being a battleground between two would entities." She continued as she set to work getting the coffe going.

"But hey, maybe I"m weird."

"Actually, reviving him will save this world, and your existence." Mackenzie told him, managing to keep her voice far more level than even she expected.

"However, Ido realise you won't believe that. Why would you?You have have the belief that I am here just to cause destruction." She added.

"Coffee?Water? Want a drink of some sort?" She then asked as she made her way to the kitchenette, closing the door after he'd stepped in.

Mackenzie was silent for a moment before sighing heavily.

"You may ask that, but would you actually believe me if Isaid that I'm not here to cause problems?" She asked him.

"However, I'm here just to revive my partner."

"I am." Mackenzie said as she unlocked the door, opened it, and made her way inside.

"You're welcome to follow." She added, knwoing that there was a decent chance he would.

She kicked off her shoes and lied, knowing that there was likely to be .. something... happening from this. She didn't know what it would be, though.

She just sighed, looking him from head to toe.

"... yes?" She asked.

"you're likely going to end up driven up the wall if you don't let me get in there, by the way." She added.

"So yes. I would advise you to move out of the way."

Angela just sighed as Hal left.

It was another minute or two before Mackenzie left the room. She paused as she neared Angela.

"Give him five minutes to regain his mental faculties, and then you can talk to him. He'd just be blubbering nonsense at the moment." She added.

"Oh... all right then." Angela said, not entirely sure what it was taht she was supposed to say here.

"I, myself, am going to go hide out in my dorm and let this aura fade. If I don't, those who are sensitive to me will be driven over the edge." Mackenzie then said before just heading off before Angela could say anything

"Yeah, of course. I'll call if I need you." The medic barely managed to get out before Mackenzie was out of earshot.

"My thoughts exactly." Angela commented witha heavy sigh.

"However, I will let you know what's going on beyond this." She then said. "I don't think there's a reason for you to be hanging around here, if you don't want to."

"I do hope that she doesn't kill him though. It would.... suck... if she killed him."

Angela just sighed, looking back toward the door to her office.

"I know." She commented.

"James' a good kid. He's never had issues here." she thens aid. "And I don't think that if he's doing this without reason, that he should deal with too much more in terms of punishment. He's probably staring into the damned void, or at least something super close, at the moment, and that'll mess anyone up."

"The best I can say, is that it seems he stole some codeine from the shipment I just got in, and was dealing it to save his own skin. He claims that there was mana put within him, that would literally explode if he didn't check in by 7pm tonight." Angela explained.

"So, that mana needs to be removed.... which is why I called for Mackenzie. She's ... probably the only one who can do it at the moment, aside from asking you." She added, her tone implying about making a wish. However, she knew he didn't really want to have that known, so she wasn't going to say anything explicit about it.

Good to know. Angela replied to Jake before sighing and looking to Hal.

"James is in there with the visitor, Mackenzie." She told him.

"I didn't know if you wanted me to ask you about this, so I went with one who I knew shouldbe able to remove the mana." She added after a moment.

"Point is, apparently we were on a timer until he went boom."

"Mmmmm, James ran into some trouble, and Mackenzie is helping." Angela answered as she typed up replies.

Outside my office. she sent to Hal before responding to Jake.

I think I'm ok. Just thought you'd like the update if Izzy hadn't told you yet.

Angela jumped as she heard the ... well, noise. She had no idea what the hell it was that she'd heard, but she was reasonably certain that it James, and that it wasn't natural.

".... I don't think I want to know what the hell it is that she's doing to him." She muttered after a moment or two, with a shake of her head before pausing.

"Ah, right..." She muttered, sending a text to both Jake and Hal.

Caught him.
