Zeke nodded in response.

"Of course." he replied.

"I'll make sure everyone knows." he said.

"I'll call a small meeting and tell them all at once." he went on.

"Anyway, get going." he told her.

"Sharp needs to know about this." he continued.

"I would have gone to him first, but... uh, well... actually because of what I learned about Liv... the first thing that came to mind was to tell you." he then admitted, shaking his head a little.

Angela nodded, but didn't say anything before leaving him alone in her office. She wasn't sure if she had a chance to actually properly deal with that news right now. She had more than just her daughter to take care of, after all.

She quickly made her way up to the boss' office and knocked on the door, as his receptionist was out at the moment.

There was about 10 seconds of silence, before she heard Hal.

"Ah, come in." he said.

Something about the tone of his voice was... off... it sounded a little distracted, like he'd been concentrating on something else intently, or... like he wasn't paying attention at all.

She had little time for that now, though, and opened the door.

Hal looked over towards her, and smiled slightly.

"Ah, hello." he greeted her.

"How can I help you?" he asked.

Angela closed the door before approaching his desk.

"hey... Hal.... I.." She started, wringing her hands slightly. If eh was in the right state at the moment, he'd be able to pick up on the distress in her face, her voice.

"Hal... I have... I have the information about what's going through the Unit." She told him honestly.

"But, I don't ... I have no idea how to counter it. Or even what it is." She admitted.

"...." Hal was silent for a moment.

"I... I see." he said.

"Uh, well... at least that's progress of some sort." he commented.

"At least there's that." he reasoned.

"I'm glad to hear it." he went on, before he paused for a moment.

"Uh... is something wrong?" he asked her.

"Well, I mean, you said you don't know how to counter it and such." he then said.

"I suppose that'd be a mood-killer." he admitted.

Angela was silent for a moment before meeting Hal's gaze.

"... Hal.... L... Liv has fallen victim." She said quietly.

"I..." She paused before shakign her head.

"I can't... I can't lose my daughter."

Hal was silent as well, but his expression was a bit blank.

He then shook his head, and seemed to mentally bring himself back to reality.

"Then we need to think, and think fast." he said.

"Something needs to be done." he reasoned.

"Hmmm." he mumbled.

"I'll see if I can call any favours in from some friends of mine. They're good at problem-solving." he told her.

He then paused for a moment.

"Ah. Just need to remember my password." he muttered.

Angela was silent for a moment.

"I... what?" She asked.

"You..." She paused before shaking her head.

"Still no change with Jake yet, a tleast?" She said, half asking. She was hoping that it would be something good, at least, but there was no way for her to know, specifically.

She had to figure out what the virus running through there was, but she had no idea where to start.

"Oh, yes! Yes, that is good!" he said.

"Good. At least he's not getting worse." he reasoned.

He then sighed, and shook his head.

"Ow." he mumbled.

"Damn headache." he growled.

"Just won't go away."

"Take a break, Hal." Angela said with a soft sigh.

"Please? I can't because the med wing is too damned busy, but you can. Please... just take a break." She pleaded.

'You need to. Especially with a headache. " She added.

"Granted, if it doesn't go away after an hour of NOT working and NOT looking at a screen, then come see me, all right?" She asked. "Can you agree to that?"

"......yeah, sure." Hal responded.

"Not sure what's been happening." he said.

"I think the stress of all this is finally getting to me." he told her.

"I just haven't been able to focus or pay attention, and that's not good." he lamented.

As he spoke, Angela noticed something.

He was describing the symptoms of early onset of... whatever this was.

And he was UNAWARE of it.

Angela was silent before sighing, heavily at that.

"On second thought, come on. You're coming down tot he med wing with me." She told him simply.

"And no arguments." She added as she just crossed her arms.

"Angela, why?" he asked her.

However, before she had a chance answer, he just sighed heavily.

"Nevermind." he said.

"I know better than to argue with you." he commented.

"Plus, your authority technically supersedes mine when it comes to health matters." he then muttered.

"Or... I think that's how it goes." he added, shaking his head and stepping away from his desk.

"Especially when you're needing rest. Like damn." She said before sighing slightly.

... this isn't good. If Hal falls to this, the Unit really will be in trouble. She thought as she made her way to the door, and waited for him to follow.

Hal followed her, shutting the door behind him.

"Yeah, I guess so." he said.

The two of them then made their way down to the medical wing, where Zeke had just finished briefing all the staff there about what was going on. He then turned and saw her there, along with Sharp.

"Hi, boss." he greeted him.

"Hello Zeke." Hal replied.

"What brings you here?" Zeke asked him.

"Angela's orders." Hal responded, citing her reasons and such... and making Zeke start to go pale in the face.

"We'll talk later." Angela told Zeke, basically saying that she'd give him the information she has once she could. For now, she took Hal off to a more private area that was sectioned off specifically for in case he ever needed to be there, and got him set up. Once that was done, she sighed and met his gaze.

". . . . " Angela was silent for a moment before sighing.

"I wish to know h ow to counter this." She stated bluntly, wanting to find the fix before the strongest one there fell.

For all she knew, those had had already fallen, would have permanent damage done to them..."[/b]

"I'll try." he told her.

He then extended his hand and snapped his fingers.
