@eyry: Yeah the evolving item was a bit too expensive. They were probably thinking that we were going to hit like page 700 of something and it would have a ton of recolors, but we never did. People stopped coming to the thread after we hit 'all' of the goals. ^^; I only got like 4 goodie bags cause of the price. I still wanted some.

I agree. They did that in past events. Maybe they got feedback and people wanted all of the event items to be available in the goodie bag?

Yeah I guess so.
Let's be honest, the staff was probably so tried they just threw something together. I loved it and I loved all the different thread contests but it was a lot less work than the event before that.
