@Wildfire: I’m good. I woke up a little early to book a hotel for the anime con Otakon. (I live on the west coast so it was early for me)
@Totalanimefan: Oh that sounds like fun. Are you excited about the con? Are you cosplaying?
@Wildfire: I am excited! It’s not until next summer though. I’ve been going every year since 2010! I love Otakon because I get to see my family and friend in addition to an awesome anime con. Also since 2017 it’s been in DC and I really like that city
Oh and I don’t cosplay. I spend too much money as it is already.
@Totalanimefan: DC is a cool city. I understand about not cosplaying - I don't either. But I also find that it's nice just running around enjoying the event without being "on stage" because you're in a costume. It certainly sounds like you're looking forward to it - I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself. Friends and family is good too, of course!

@Totalanimefan: I used to live in Philadelphia. Never lived in DC, but it is not far away from Philly at all. It has been a long time since I've been there, though...

I used to live in various towns in south FL. It’s where I grew up, but the last place I lived before I moved to CA is near West Palm Beach. Next time I go back I’m super taking the train down to Miami.

@Wildfire: It’s fine. I moved almost 5 years ago for my husband’s job. He works in tech. I do miss the east coast. I like that you can wear jeans in the workplace but I do miss the east coast, I miss my friends and family.
@Totalanimefan: Understandable! Tech is quite the thing... especially in CA! Do you enjoy it there, other than missing family and friends?
@Wildfire: It’s expensive as hell, like the most expensive in the nation, but the job market is probably one of the best in the nation too. Sooo...it has ups and downs.

@Totalanimefan: Yup, that's what I keep hearing! I guess as long as you can afford to be there, it's a good deal, but I know a lot of folks can't and are homeless or, if they can manage to, moving out of the state...
