I'm not too sure why the hex thing is happening during previews. It used to not do that. :c It doesn't show up when you actually post though!

@Lufi: LOL- thanks. It never makes sense to me when somebody new comes on a site, opens an introduction thread, and says ... nothing. And I'm new here, so I figured I'd follow my own ideas about introductions and actually say something.
I read all kinds of things - Sci Fi to Shakespeare, light-hearted "fluff" to serious stuff, and a lot of things in between! I take it you're a reader too? What is your favorite genre? Favorite author or series?

@Totalanimefan: It's usually (at least in my experience) a favorite event. It's one of the few holidays that's purely fun... no real obligation to cook, wrap, etc.! 
@Totalanimefan: Yes, Thanksgiving can be fun, but if you're cooking or hosting, it's a heck of a lot of work... even IF you like to cook!!

@Totalanimefan: DC is a cool city. I understand about not cosplaying - I don't either. But I also find that it's nice just running around enjoying the event without being "on stage" because you're in a costume. It certainly sounds like you're looking forward to it - I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself. Friends and family is good too, of course!
@Totalanimefan: I used to live in Philadelphia. Never lived in DC, but it is not far away from Philly at all. It has been a long time since I've been there, though...
