Yay I finally have a good washer and dryer!! My old ones where from 1985. There were original to the condo.
The guys came and hooked them up and I have already run my first wash! I’m excited to do more. My things are coming out almost dry and they aren’t smelling!

And yes, I did spring for the small sidekick washer that I totally didn’t need to get, but I have a lot of delicates that I want to last a long time. It also works well for gym clothes. And if the dog pees on one item.

@Onyx Popcorn: thank you 😭 I love the color too. What does your dog like to pee on? So far I had to wash almost all my towels cause of the faint pee smell that the really old washer could never get out. Oh and the dog peed on my husband’s shirt. That is getting washed in the sidekick. On hot lol

@Deaa: Thank you! I realize how privileged I am to be able to have my own place and to be able to have the space to buy them.
I had to do that in college for a few years and it really sucked. After my husband and I were like ok, we have to have our own washer and dryer. We have pets that love to pee on stuff. It sucks lol
I’m sorry that people have to touch your shit. What is up with that?

If you're still having a hard time getting your things dry through your dryer I highly recommend this:

Click here to view dryer wool balls

These take 10-15 minutes off my dryer time. Reusable for a ridiculously long time, I been using the same pack for two years now.
Just toss one ball in with your wet clothes and they come out dry.
