So I have been trying out tofu recipes to get on a tofu diet.
The one I picked out originally was very bland.
But decided to try it again and add more things to it and switch some things out.
And it tasted amazing last night. :vanora_heart:

My sis helped me with the spices though as I am not good with spices or knowing how much to add.
But overall it ended up great.

Tofu can be such a pain to get right. I've stopped trying, but I'm glad it's worked out for you! It's so tasty when it does work.

One time I made a peanut sauce that went pretty well with the tofu. Woulda been better if I really understood how to get the moisture outta the tofu, though; I think you're supposed to put it in the freezer and then drain it? I haven't tried that yet, but it always seems to have moisture in it, even when it starts crumbling.

@Sigma: there is a couple ways to drain it.
Freezer is one way but not the only way.
I watched a short video from tasty and what i did was wrapped it in a paper towel
and heated it for 2 and a half minutes
and that worked.

But i pat tried it with a paper towel before hand.
and it was a lot easier to work with.

Tofu is great! it's also ridiculously cheap....

Sometimes I slice it really thin, fry it, and then eat them like potato chips haha

Silky tofu in soup is really good - I'm always tempted by it at Korean restaurants... my favorite tofu dish is mapo tofu though. with extra spice!

@MoodyBats: that sounds pretty tasty, I think that spices, and chopped up garlic really does go along way so you never need to much of either one in food. but it is nice to hear that your sister helped. did anyone ekse eat the yummy tofu?

@Unicorn: My sister can't eat it and i doubt my dad would want to try it lol.
So It was only me.

@Hachi: the reason i started buying it was for the price
and i am not really getting much protein so figured i should really get into it.

@Unicorn: Yup. and I used paprika, Onion powder, garlic powder, poultry seasoning, black pepper and salt i believe.
Also added honey mustard to it and used doritos for like an outer crispyness as I fried the tofu.

If you can’t say something nice, Don’t say anything at all!

@Hachi: There's a Korean restaurant in Philadelphia you might like. I only went once, at an age I wouldn't have been able to appreciate such a thing. :o
