Of course, ideally this can be enabled / disabled and the sound shouldn't be too startling, but I think that some kind of noise would be useful so that people don't have to look at the thread all the time to know that people are chatting :0

Pleaaase yes give us the option to turn it off if it's included. ;w; In like, account settings, not necessarily on a per-thread basis.

I Don't care for this idea, I'd rather it to be off because I like to listen to music and not all like to be pinged we already see pings why does there need to be sound with it?

I would personally turn it off but i did notice which was cool for me is if i stayed i a thread and went to a new tab, it would show a number and it said click to refresh new posts.
