If I hadn't just blown 70 dollars on Breath of the Wild, I'd be playing Cuphead right now. xP
I'm a sucker for those old-timey cartoons, and the designs of the protagonists are way too cute.
So, has anyone tried it yet? How difficult is it actually?
My boyfriend got it for me today! I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, though... I hear it's mega difficult, which is right up my alley.
I just sat down and got to play it.
CUPHEAD IS REALLY, REALLY GOOD. OH MY GOD, IT'S BEAUTIFUL.
It's challenging as heck but so far there hasn't been a single instance where it felt unfair. I started to think so about the third (maybe fifth, if you don't take the shortcut) and then I remembered, there's a dodge. :'D Which suddenly made him cake!

Haven't played it but is obsessed with it regardless lol, I want to buy it tho, but got no money rn

@Addy: Yeah, I couldn't bare to watch more than part of like... one boss because it was too painful for me. I mean he was doing well (HOW), but it was painful to imagine how difficult it must have been.

The last stage had so many ups and downs (and references to a game I played SO MUCH as a child) that at one point I basically dropped the controller and had to breathe.

This game is probably one of the best games to come out in a long time. It's challenging but fun, frustrating but addictive, and the art is amazing! To remember that it's hand animated is insane!

I believe the game was well worth the wait. The animations are perfect to the era, the story and dialogue are simple and don’t interfere with the immersion into the game, and the actual gameplay is fairly fun and difficult so when you make a mistake it’s clear it’s ALL you.
Playing the game co-op must be fun. Having someone to share the joy of dying over and over with. :bernard_happy:
