@Vixen: maybe. I’m not sure but I remember how expensive renting table and chairs were from my wedding. So I can’t imagine the cost for all of those rooms at the con.

@Totalanimefan: yeah, i know renting out ballrooms or banquet halls in a hotel is really expensive and it also comes with string attached; like you have to get catering through the hotel as well, which actually is more expensive than the hall rental lol
@Vixen: yeah. I got married at a hotel but I didn’t mind using the catering there because I knew I wasn’t going to be able to get the food catered from a local place and delivered to there and my main family was in the wedding so wedding package it is.
But yeah it’s much cheaper to just have it in a backyard.
@Totalanimefan: i think its also possible to rent out a restaurant for the banquet part so the food is covered, and do all the ceremonial stuff in a backyard/chapel/wherever lol

I’ve been sick with a cold this week but I’m starting to feel better. I’m not sure exactly what I’m going to do over the holidays. I already had my family Christmas early cause I don’t live near my family.
I think I would like to bake something next week for Christmas but I’m not sure what I should bake. Any Christmas foods you recommended?

and definitely a couple of art pieces that need to be finished for art exchange and for another event!
i'm going to try stovetop hot chocolate too but i need to remember to get ingredients for it
christmas foods? well i typically have hot pot for most holidays, but pepperminty sweets is something i like
peppermint chocolate cookies, or peppermint bark, are very christmassy to me

I had Gyu-Kaku for Thanksgiving with my family. It was great lol. I miss going out for hot pot. There was a good place in Cupertino I always liked.

When I cook I just use feeling. Most of the time it turns out great.
I went for a walk today to get out of the house. I’m glad I did but I’m not recovered from my cold so not I’m totally wiped out :(
