i just joined may of this year also out of nostalgia for avi sites :-) i've found the community here to be fairly sweet wholesome friendly etc and have stuck around, hope you do too !

i found the newbie guide and item museum rather helpful when i first joined! and some terminology -- volts are our regular currency, ohms are the premium currency, crates are our monthly donation items, and orbs are random item generators that rotate out every 3 months! lmk if you have any questions :-)

@xaphiel: yeah that's kind of the impression i'm getting too ... though maybe for better or for worse?
i can imagine as a game company it's good to find a model that is profitable and financially sustainable
but i know some people have mixed feelings abt gachas from like a player health perspective

Nice ! You can look up a tier list if you want, it tells what characters are good. Got any from wishes yet? Venti is great, I happened to pull him with a wish early on. You can go ahead and use the experience stuff to level up though, its really the only way to actually level up after a short while lol.

No, it didn't take much to set up steam link at all. Just downloading the app on my phone. And Genshin isn't technically on Steam, but I just had to add it to my Steam library.

@Elirona: thank you ! Everyone is super nice, so I am enjoying it so far.

@xvz: Yeah, combat-wise, Amber isn't very useful once you get another Fire user. But shes always useful for other adventuring needs. You must wishhhh lol. But just be sure to do single wishes for the most part. Outside of the first banner that offers the discounted rate of 10 wishes for 8 of the wish item thingy. But once you do that twice, I would just do single wishes for the rest. Apparently its much better than the 10 wishes at once. I pulled from Venti until I got him lol. Then I mainly focused on the one with the 5 star characters. I've gotten a lot from there. I started pulling from Ventis again whenever I got freebies for his banner. But I've already got the 3 main characters from his lol. I don't remember if I got them specifically from his banner or the other one, though..

But I really want Diluc, dammit. lolll
