"I.... I know." was all she said.

"I won't. Don't worry, I won't." She continued. "But... I'm just... I don't know, Az. I just... I feel liky my brain isn't working, that nothing is working, and that this is how I should be. I can't properly express it." She added.

Erica didn't seem to move for a fe seconds before she just latched onto him, seeming to have needed some physical contact.

It took.... awhile.

Az ended up staying there for a couple of hours, before Erica was sitting on the couch, witch him on a chair in the living room, across from her.

"All right... I think I'm going to be ok. I'm feeling a bit more... normal?" She asked, knowing he really couldn't answer that.

"Thank you, so much. I think that having someone here helped, a lot."

Erica just smiled softly.

"I know. I'm sorry that I stole so much of your time." She said after a moment or two.

"Thank you, so so much." She added.

"As I don't know if I would have survived, mentally and emotionally, if you hadn't stopped by. I'm sorry I worried you, as well."

Erica nodded.

"Yeah, I'll keep that in midn." She said, appreciation, gratitude, in her voice.

"Just... thank you, Az. I'll contact Sharp to let him know I'm faring better." She added.

"And that I sitll won't be able to come in for a couple days while my head gets screwed on straight."

Erica paused a moment at his inquiry.

"I...." She started before sighing lightly.

"... I'd really appreciate not having to deal with dinner tonight... if you'd be so kind as to grab me something, anything?" She asked.

"Keep it under 100 and I can give you the cash back." She added.

"Mana's good." Erica answered.

"And yeah, I've never liked Greek, or mediteranean, food overall." She added with a shrug.

"Beyond that, I've game for basically anything." She added. "You know that."

"I'm not fussed. Go from wherever." Was the answer that Erica gave.

"I'll see you later, Az. And again, thank you, so much." she added with a soft smile.

"I'll... hopefully... keep in contact with you this time." She added with a chuckle.

Erica sighed before looking at the clock. When she saw the time, she reasoned that Sharp was likely working, and it wouldn't be the best idea to call him.

So she sent an email, instead. She used her phone, just because she didn't know if she could actually make her way up to her room for the moment, which was where her laptop was.

I'm just sending this so that you know I'm doing all right. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to come in for the past few days... I don't even know how long at this point, I admit, but I still need a couple more days in order to properly recover.

Erica just smiled softly when she read his response. It was always good to be reminded that Hal actually cares about those that were emplyed by him.

I think I'll be all right for the moment, thank you. I will certainly let you know if something comes up. For the moment, I think I will be all right, thank you.

Hopefully I will be able to return to work sooner rather than later.

She sent the email and just sighed. This ... was hell. It really was. She could feel herself still on the edge of the depths she knew she'd just crawled out of, but she hoped that it would just stay where it was. She really didn't want to fall there again, for all she knew it'd be permanent.

She didn't know how she'd managed to crawl out of it, just that she did.

And then she realised something. She didn't know if she'd met with the one she owed.

"Shit!" She exclaimed before checking her texts. She saw the message about how she'd said she couldn't make it, and just sent another text.

Hey. Sorry about the other day. I have your money now that I'm feeling better. I can meet at any point.

Erica just sighed before shaking her head and sitting back on the cough, sinking into it a bit as she laid her head back.

She had no idea what the hell it was that was going to happen next. All she was worried about for the moment though, was that this was the last five grand before she was squared up with this guy, and this wouldn't be a stressor she'd have to deal with any longer.

With that in mind, she got to her feet to find her wallet - which she found on the end table - to make sure she had the money in there. When she saw she didn't, she just sighed. That was weird, but she wasn't concerned for a moment.

She grabbed her phone and just sent a text to someone she found herself close with, the nephilim that that worked in the same building of her.

I thought I had, but any chance I can mooch five grand off you? I'll send you the e-transfer for it, I just dont' want to head out to grab the cash. I got something that I need to pay for. She hoped he wouldn't ask questions about it, or that she could lie at least a little, and get away with it for now.
