"...." Adym was silent for a moment.

"Now that you mention it... yeah." he said.

"It almost feels like we're... kind of safe here?" he commented.

"A little?" he mumbled further.

"This is strange..." he continued.

"Like... we're being shielded, but also suffocated."

He sighed in response.

"I don't." he replied.

"I'm trying my best to listen and hear for... well... ANYTHING." he told her.

"But I'm hearing nothing. Except YOU." he continued.

"I have NO idea where we are, or where to go, and I just can't get my bearings." he said further.

"...in short, pretty sure we're lost in ALL sense of that word."

Adym looked around for a few seconds... and sighed.

"Yeah..." he mumbled.

"Hm." he muttered further.

He then closed his eyes and tried to concentrate... and got nothing.

Not a thing.

"Damn it." he growled.

"Right. May as well just start walking." he reasoned with a small shrug.

"Come on." he told her, as he gestured to a direction, and started taking a few steps forward.

Adym froze for a moment when she grabbed his hand, but quickly shook his head.

"R-right." he said.

"Yeah, that's... that's a good idea." he agreed.

He then tightened his grip a little on her own hand, just to show her he wouldn't be letting go anytime soon, and looked around once more.

"Ngh." he grunted.

"And to top it all off, my head's starting to hurt now."

"I... I don't know." Adym responded.

"But it hurts. It's pounding away." he muttered.

They wandered around a little, but she noticed something... his headache seemed to be getting worse if they walked a specific direction, but as soon as they changed direction, it seemed to lessen, even if a little.

Not that they knew what direction was what, admittedly.

"At this point, I don't even know." Adym muttered.

"I get the feeling it might get bad enough to cause me to pass out, though." he then told her.

"Which... won't be good." he understated.

"This darkness is just throwing me off. Of everything." he growled.

"How are YOU feeling?" he asked.

"Anything off or strange?"

"Yeah, sure thing." Adym agreed.

With that, they started walking AWAY from his headache, and eventually he stopped and sighed quietly.

"All right, my head's fine." he told her.

"No more headache." he said.

However, before Callie could really respond, she noticed something. She actually SAW something in the darkness... behind Adym.

It looked like a stone pillar, but one that was covered and taken over by vines and greenery.

Adym looked behind him, and paused.

"If it's messing with you, it's messing with ME, too." he told her.

"Because if you see a pillar, then I see it, too." he confirmed.

"....this is...." he then mumbled, squinting at it.

"We're at the shrine."

"Hm." Adym mumbled.

"Maybe... maybe the shrine still has some power." he said.

"I mean, it'd have to, otherwise the forest would already be withered and dead." he reasoned.

"There might be more light in the catacombs, paradoxically enough." he went on.

"Only one way to find out." he then said further.

"Come on, let's try and find the entrance."

"Right." Adym responded.

"Let's go." he told her.

The two of them didn't dare let go of their grasp on each other, as they walked towards the pillar, past it, and she saw many of them in a line... on both sides of them. That's when she saw the shrine before them, and it seemed to tower over of them... despite it being modest in size.

It was as though there was a sense of importance and a heaviness to it. As though this were sacred and hallowed ground.

"...and we're here." Adym said.

"...it feels so... different."
