Is there a guide for making the robot...? 
@SnakeWeaver: Make sure you have all the necessary items in your inventory: Bucket, Gloves, Box, Shoes, and 4 Sticks. From your inventory select one of those items to use it and craft the robot.

Ok - that's three for three now with this mini-game. It really doesn't like me. Now I'm getting the "TypeError this._windowContentsSprite is undefined" error again and I was just trying to look at my inventory to see if I could make the robot. And this is on a different computer than before.
@Cookie: Yes, I absolutely do know. I understand how frustrating it is to work hard on something, be excited about it, and to have it bork. And it's more frustrating when it only happens to a rare person or two and not everyone. But since I'm 3 for 3 with borking the game, I'm going to slowly walk away from it now and poke it with a stick from far over there ----------------------------------->

So is there anything I can do to get the event items with the mini-game borking on me like this???
Well, the mini game only grants you items you also find when foraging so it's not like there's a rare item attached to it thankfully.

@Priestess of Pie: Thankfully. But it sounds like I'm going to be limited in terms of options to acquire these items... *sigh*
@SnakeWeaver: lol I HATE slide puzzles. I am SO BAD at them, but I have played that thing nigh on 10 times now for testing.
The jigsaw is a good option as well. It's pretty generous with the event currency.

ALSO this doesn't just go for game, but all things on site... if we update something and it doesn't seem to change for you guys, best rule of thumb is to ctrl+f5 the site and try again, it's a lifesaver and most times fixes the issue

but it definitely goes for the game too. could also restart browser and clear cookies when you do

@Priestess of Pie: Yeah, but that requires patience I don't have right now. But it's early in the event. Maybe we'll figure out why the mini-game is borking on me. Maybe it won't matter
