School has been a little tough. I start the actual PhD work in the Fall, so like,,,, half a month lol But I still don't fully know how things are going to be going yet. I've at least been doing alright with this current class, but last semester was when my school decided we "wouldn't come back" from spring break and the teacher was not prepared for remote midway through that semester. I felt like I barely passed the class lol.

yeah i can imagine the transition being hard for school, like teachers put in so much time effort into their syllabus and pacing and having to readjust it on the fly on top of dealing w pandemic ...... i can only imagine!

gods do you think you’ll do ok w not having as much structure for ur phd from the remote aspect?
my sense is that programs in general can feel unstructured to begin with since it’s mostly all on ur own time/schedule/ self management etc

It is about : In this animated musical, the villainous King Haggard (Christopher Lee) plots to destroy all the world's unicorns. When a young unicorn (Mia Farrow) learns that she's in danger and that she may soon be the last of her kind, she leaves the safety of her protected forest and enlists the help of Schmendrick (Alan Arkin), a gentle, albeit clumsy, sorcerer. Together, they embark on a long and dangerous journey with one goal: to defeat Haggard and save the unicorns from extinction.
